In [[Pokémon Adventures]], [[Professor Magnolia]] gives [[Henry Sword]] a {{p|Grookey}}. [[Marvin]] found a {{p|Sobble}} in the wild and eventually catches it. It is unknown how [[Casey Shield]] obtained her {{p|Scorbunny}}.

==Trivia==
* The Galar first partner Pokémon are the only first partner trio where none of their members are owned by {{Ash}} in ''[[Pokémon the Series]]''. Instead, all three are {{pkmn2|caught}} by [[Goh]].
* The Grookey line are the only [[first partner Pokémon]] debut in a {{pkmn|anime}} work [[GOTCHA!|other than the main series]], a music video to be precise.
** Addtionally, Grookey took the longest time of all first partner Pokémon to debut in the anime within the concurrent generation, taking a total of 46 episodes before debut.
