Revision as of 21:29, 6 April 2010

It is not a part of any known region, but its entry is found in Johto.

"Entry" being Ruins of Alph? I'm doing the event right now, and the map says the Shinto Ruins are located in far northeast Johto... Frugali 09:31, 27 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sinnoh?

Since Shinto Ruins are in northeast Johto, its name is a combination of Shin'ō (Sinnoh) and Jōto (Johto), and it has the legends of Johto and Sinnoh, has anyone thought that, like the Tohjo Falls, Shinto Ruins might connect the Johto region to the Sinnoh region?alec9 * - * 13:49, 24 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Believe it or not, it's there already. —darklordtrom 04:33, 25 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

The info box.

It's a little confusing, the location says "North of Johto" and the region says, "Johto". If we can, can we change it a little? And supposedly, we are not sure where the location is.--Midnight Blue 05:17, 25 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

On a similar note, Faraway Island says that it's in Hoenn, even though you aren't anywhere on the PokéNav's map when you're there. Shouldn't it be listed as "Outside of Hoenn", much like this should read "Outside of Johto"?--Purimpopoie 13:39, 14 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
If you put "North of Johto" in the region, the map automatically changes into "File:North of Johto Shinto Ruins map.png" --Gabo 2oo 15:02, 30 January 2010 (UTC)instead of "File:Johto Shinto Ruins map.png".Reply
^No it doesn't--ForceFire 15:06, 30 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Returning after the event

Is it possible to get back to the Shinto Ruins after doing the event? Blueapple128 01:20, 27 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'd say highly likely no, if you got your DPG already. If you used the Abra to teleport back to New Bark, though, you can go back later on. TTEchidna 01:40, 30 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
You can, actually. If you take the Arceus down to the ruins themselves, you can teleport back there... I went through the 'secret' way with the four-items room (the first one to be exact), I have no idea if it works with the normal entrance. Investigating! ▫▪Ťïňắ 19:33, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
So um... guess who just got a Dialga *and* a Giratina from that event... am I really the first one to discover this? O_o; I used two different Arceus though, if that matters... going to try and get Palkia too with the same one. ▫▪Ťïňắ 19:40, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
So you can get all three from one? And do it more than once with different Arceus?--FlyingSkymin23 20:00, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
With the way it looks right now, you'll need three different Arceus to get in this place to get all three of the dragons. If you guys want proof or anything I can take pictures... ▫▪Ťïňắ 20:04, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Okay, using the third different Arceus I had... didn't work. Anyone with HGSS want to have a go at investigating this? Yes? No? ▫▪Ťïňắ 20:22, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
So... maybe another entrance?--FlyingSkymin23 20:29, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Investigation... underway... TTEchidna 20:48, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
What does this have to do with Looker?--FlyingSkymin23 22:14, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Um... observation... Looker observes... ht14 22:27, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
So let me get this straight. There's a main entrance, and another one in the first hidden room. I was only aware of one entrance. If they made another one, there's gotta be one more. Also after you used the main entrance, what happens to it?--FlyingSkymin23 22:49, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
I oddly haven't gotten it to work with any of my other Arceus (I have three). Tina says she used a Hall of Origin Arceus to do the event, though, and a TRU event Arceus brought her back there with the secret way... TTEchidna 23:02, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
Is it in the game code?--FlyingSkymin23 23:08, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Real-life pictures

Would it be prudent to either list, give examples or have a small gallery of the pictures from the event? It's a unique enough even to warrant more than just a trivia mention, I think. Plus, I like astronomy, and (in order) they show the Horsehead Nebula, the Rosette Nebula, the Ring Nebula, the Orion Nebula, and later the Andromeda Galaxy. I don't know any of the cities or buildings though. Jazzmoth 02:53, 6 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Would someone anwser my question below?

Ok, here is my question, Can you do this with a cheated Arceus? I want to know because my friend has 5 cheated Arceus. Happy Holidays, User:?????

Any Arceus which has the fateful encounter flag set can be used for this, cheated or not. If you nabbed the one from Spear Pillar, I don't believe you can, though, as it has no fateful encounter flag set. TTEchidna 08:39, 30 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Okay I lied. As long as it's from the Hall of Origin or something. TTEchidna 23:03, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sinjoh Ruins

Serebii says that's the US name, but with the Lyra/Ethan stuff, I don't know whether you guys'd like to wait. --Bulbafan 22:54, 2 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Yup. We're going to wait for the game to come out (or at least see a good, official source that isn't just Serebii) --ZestyCactus 22:58, 2 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Template

Because the page is locked (stupid gunjumpers...) I can't add the Legendary Pokémon locations template. Would an admin care to add it? --AndyPKMN 01:01, 12 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Portmanteau

This a nitpicky request, but in the Name Origin section, the word Sinjoh would technically be called a blend of Sinnoh and Johto rather than a portmanteau. Then, you could get rid of the clumsy description that it uses "the beginning [of Johto] rather than the end." Just a little professional opinion. ;) Jazzmoth 08:53, 13 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
