Trivia

The three silhouettes on Pokémon Sunday
  • Tsutaaja and its fellow Black and White starters were first revealed as silhouettes on the May 9, 2010 episode of Pokémon Sunday. They were later revealed in full in the June 2010 issue of CoroCoro.

Origin

Tsutaaja may be based off a lizard or a snake. Its shared traits with boths make it similar to skinks.

Name origin

Probably derived from Tsuta (蔦, ivy) and Ja (蛇, snake).
