This short was aired on ANA domestic flights in August 2004, and later released on DVD in Japan on September 9, 2005; although pre-orders were delivered by June 25.

(Japanese: ピカチュウのなつまつり Pikachu's Summer Festival) was an anime short aired on ANA domestic flights in August 2004.
Although it is considered a short, it has features more commonly found in normal episodes, such as BGM reuse and animation by Team Ota; however, the storyboarder/director has also worked on the 6 movie-paired anime shorts and the art director has also worked on some anime shorts and movies.

In this short, Pikachu, Plusle, Minun, Corphish, Grovyle, Combusken, Meowth, and Wobbuffet head out to rescue an Azumarill that will be performing at the Summer Festival.
