Welcome to Celadon!  The city still hosts the same attractions it did three years ago, though the Game Corner no longer conceals a criminal hideout.  Stop by the Poké Center to find Eusine, having returned to his hometown.  Speak to him once you catch Raikou and Entei, and he'll tell you that there have been fresh rumors of Ho-Oh appearing at the Tin Tower.  He leaves, waiting for you at the tower.

Celadon Mansion
Celadon Mansion
If you visit Celadon at night, sneak behind the Poké Center and take the back stairs up to the mansion's top floor.  The green-haired guy on the roof will recount a scary story, and give you 03 for listening.  Curse raises Attack and Defense while lowering Speed, but works differently for the Ghost.

Restaurant
Near the path to the Gym is a restaurant that is currently hosting an eat-a-thon.  Check the trash can by the counter to find some In-battle effect item, which restore a bit of the holder's health every turn.

Game Corner
Celadon's Game Corner has added a Card Flip game, which allows players to place bets on which card will be flipped over.  The deck has 24, each with a number between 1 and 6 and a picture of one of four Pokémon (Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Oddish, or Poliwag).  Bets can be placed by single card, by single column, by single row, by a pair of columns, or by a pair of rows.

Like the Goldenrod Game Corner, this one also offers rare Pokémon and items as prizes.

Celadon Diner
Just north of the trail to the Celadon Gym is a diner.  Inspect the trash can by the counter to find some In-battle effect item, which restore a Pokémon's HP every turn in battle.

Celadon Department Store
The Celadon Department Store is still in business, selling anything a Trainer could need.

Grab the Potion near the pillar, and continue north.  Cross the wooden bridge along the north wall, and climb the western stairs.

7F
Starting on this floor, the tower employs warp tiles to thwart unworthy Trainers.  Step on the first warp tile you see to ultimately reach a Valuable item and a Ether before returning to 7F.  Pick up the Max Revive in the northeast area, then head south.  The next warp will lead you to an Vitamin and a Potion.  After three or four warps, you'll reach an area around the pillar with the stairway to the roof.

<b>Save the game</b> before you initiate the rooftop battle.  You have the option to throw the Poké Ball at it as soon as the battle starts.  If not, get ready for a long fight.  Start off by using status-inflicting moves, like Spore or Thunder Wave to wear it down.  Follow up with Water- or Electric attacks to inflict double the damage.  Gradually whittle down its remaining HP with Fire-, Grass-, Fighting-, Bug-, or Steel attacks, since these types only inflict half or quarter damage.

Route 7

Route 7

The east/west Underground Path has been closed indefinitely by Celadon Police due to excessive battling in the tunnel. This route is the first chance you'll have to find two new Dark-type Pokémon, Murkrow and Houndour, but only in the overnight hours.

Celadon City

Celadon City

Welcome to Celadon! The city still hosts the same attractions it did three years ago, though the Game Corner no longer conceals a criminal hideout. Stop by the Pokémon Center to find Eusine, having returned to his hometown. Once you catch Raikou and Entei, he informs you of fresh rumors of a rainbow-colored Pokémon appearing at Tin Tower. He heads off to wait for you in Ecruteak. For coverage of the tower, go here.

Celadon Mansion

Sneak behind the Poké Center at night, and take the back stairs up to the mansion's top floor. The guy on the roof will tell you a scary story, and gives you TM03 (Curse) for listening. Curse raises Attack and Defense while lowering Speed, but works differently for Ghosts.

Restaurant

Near the path to the Gym is a restaurant that is currently hosting an eat-a-thon. Check the trash can by the counter to find some Leftovers, which restore a bit of the holder's health every turn.

Celadon Department Store

The Celadon Department Store is the largest Poké Mart in the region, and sells anything a Trainer could need.

2F

The Trainer's Market sells basic equipment and items that Trainers may find useful while on their journey.

3F

The TV Game Shop sells TMs on the third floor.

4F

The Gift Shop offers a few souvenir items for sale.

5F

The Drugstore sells both permanent and temporary stat-enhancing items.

Rooftop Square

The Rooftop Square's vending machines let you buy cold, health-restoring drinks for cheap.

Celadon Gym

Celadon Gym

CELADON CITY
POKéMON GYM
LEADER: ERIKA
The Nature-Loving
Princess

The Celadon Gym is a haven for Grass-types, so your Fire-, Flying-, and Ice-types will have almost no resistance. Avoid bringing Water-, Ground-, and Rock-types or they won't last long. There are four Gym Trainers here, so you may need to heal up before challenging the Gym Leader herself.

Erika's Tangela is especially vulnerable to Special moves, so just scorch it with a Fire move and it won't be a problem. Two of her Pokémon know the Sunny Day move; while it lets SolarBeam fire without a charge-up, it also doubles the power of Fire attacks. Her Jumpluff is pretty speedy, but a decent Ice-type move will give it a time-out. Watch out for Bellossom's Petal Dance and SolarBeam.

Celadon Gym
The Rainbow Badge

Defeated, Erika awards you the Rainbow Badge, and gives you TM19 (Giga Drain) as a prize.

With the Celadon Gym defeated, your next stop is Route 16 to the west.
