Trivia
- Dark Celebi is the first Pokémon with "Dark" in its name to be dual-typed with Darkness and its normal type. This would later return in EX Team Rocket Returns. It is also the first, and only, Basic Pokémon to be a Dark Pokémon.
- Strangely, the Japanese name of the card is R団のセレビィ Rocket's Celebi, meaning that it is actually more in league with cards like Rocket's Mewtwo than with cards like Dark Sandslash.
Origin
This card references the fate of the Celebi of Pokémon 4Ever, which was captured in a Dark Ball by Vicious.
