Release information
This card was released in the English Fossil expansion, originating from the Japanese Mystery of the Fossils expansion. It was later reprinted in the English Legendary Collection expansion. A special W Wizards stamped version of the Fossil print of this card was released in the December 1999 issue of Top Deck Magazine.
Trivia
Along with Shedinja, this card has the fewest HP of any Stage 1 Pokémon in the TCG.
Origin
Kabuto Armor's Japanese name is that of Battle Armor, an Ability later introduced in the Generation III Pokémon games that Kabuto can have. Scratch is a move in the Pokémon games that Kabuto can learn. This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, whereas the Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green.
