Trivia

  • The Blastoise cards released via the "Trade Please" campaign and the Pokémon Song Best Collection CD have the Pikachu Records logo in place of an expansion symbol.
  • A few copies of the card lack the word "Stage" in the text in the upper right explaining how to play the card.

Origin

Rain Dance and Hydro Pump are both moves in the Pokémon games that Blastoise can learn, though Rain Dance did not become an actual attack until Generation II. This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, though it is slightly reworded. The Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green.
