...I think the Cheops thing sounds extremely unlikely, since the Pokémon has nothing whatsoever to do with Ancient Egypt. It's far more likely to be a simple shortening of "Archaeopteryx". [[User:Brock Kent|Brock Kent]] ([[User talk:Brock Kent|talk]]) 01:24, 2 June 2016 (UTC)

Ability name change

Why was the ability's name changed to Faint-Hearted? The page for the ability is still titled Timid (ability) so I'm goin to change it back to that on both this page and Aaken's.--Alex726contributions 01:04, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

Egg Group Trivia

Despite Archeos and its pre-evolutionary stage being in the Water 3 egg group, they're unable to learn any Water-type moves.

Unless I'm reading their pages wrong, neither can Lileep or Cradily. I say get rid of this line. Starscream 16:55, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

I think the trivia worthy part of this fact is that archeops is in no way aquatic, unlike every other pokemon in the water egg groups. Jabberwockxeno (talk) 21:38, 28 February 2014 (UTC)

Artwork?

So the archelon has Dream World artwork and Archeos doesn't? There's no way that can be right..... Shiramu Kuromu 00:35, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

no that's normal...they'll be released sometime later Ataro 00:37, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
Are you talking about Aaken? Aaken is using the Ken Sugimori artwork, not Dream World. Jellotalk 00:40, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

Name Origin

The name probably came from Cheops, who was an ancient Egyptian Pharoh. His hierglyphs show a bird and a snake so I think it's quite likely.--Land0fChocolate 15:25, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

The name actually probably comes form the ancient bird the Archaeopteryx - unsigned comment from YANMEGAofEVIL (talkcontribs)

Base Stat

Should it be included that Archeops has the highest Base Stat of non Legendarys and Psuedo-Legendarys not including Slaking? --Deviljho (talk) 20:30, 15 September 2012 (UTC)

I'd say no, since second highest isn't particularly very notable. --It's Funktastic~! (talk) 20:33, 15 September 2012 (UTC)
I personally disagree. Second highest is very noticeable when first highest comes with such a dramatic drawback. --Cedrickc (talk) 08:00, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
However, Archeops also has a drawback. And pseudo-legendaries shouldn't be excluded as they are not legendaries at all, they just happen to have high stats.--Den Zen 08:12, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
