Really a filefish?

Is it not more likely to be based on the Reef triggerfish? Not only is it quite well-known as Hawaii's state fish, but the general shape and patterns of it seems to be a better fit as well. Coolest (talk) 17:15, 30 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

IMO its shape (the protrusion on its head) is much more like a filefish, and there are some more colorful filefish; and though there do appear to be some depictions of Reef triggerfish like Hagigishiri, the real fish doesn't seem to look much like it as near as I can tell...
But it also could be a bit of both. Tiddlywinks (talk) 17:26, 30 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
Reef triggerfish do have the head protrusion, it's just not as prominent as a filefish's. Also, the triggerfish has very densely packed teeth, which seems to be one of Hagigishiri's main design elements. Coolest (talk) 17:43, 30 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
