Thank you, and have a good time editing here! |
Battle Trozei
In case you find it useful, I have compiled a spreadsheet for all the Battle Trozei data. CycloneGU (talk) 16:43, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you! :) TepiGreninja (talk) 21:54, 7 August 2016 (UTC)
- BTW, Carmenstar97 is also updating pages, so perhaps start at 721 and go backwards. You can also help verify data that is entered is free of errors if you'd like. Anything crossed off I have checked due to already being there before. CycloneGU (talk) 21:59, 7 August 2016 (UTC)
- Two things.
- 1. After Natu and Xatu, please proceed to Kalos and continue there. That means begin at Chespin (650) onwards. Carmenstar still wishes to do some editing of templates, so I want to reduce the risk of edit conflicts. Everything from Mareep through Hoenn (Deoxys, 386) is already done, and Carmen plans to continue fixing templates at Sinnoh's Pokémon, and will do those side game data entries with them.
- 2. When editing Power of Five or Six, please use the word and not the number for Battle Trozei. In that game, the actual word is used instead of the number.
- I'll be verifying all data against my spreadsheet over time (not just yours, everything), and thanks for the help so far. =) CycloneGU (talk) 23:41, 7 August 2016 (UTC)
- I will be sure to remember that, and no problem. :) TepiGreninja (talk) 00:51, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
- Oh, and by the way, are the descriptions that I am putting in there right? I'm using the descriptions from Serebii.net abilities page, but I'm not sure if these are the descriptions that appear in-game. TepiGreninja (talk) 00:56, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
- If you want to be sure they are correct, go to my spreadsheet and select the second sheet (Abilities). They are accurate. It's possible in this case Serebii's are the same, too, but perhaps you didn't realize there was a second sheet on my version.
- I see you've reached Xatu, so if you wish to confirm other data, go ahead with that. Otherwise if you wish to keep adding info, move to Kalos as I suggested, and after that you can go to Volcarona (637) and work your way backwards. Eventually you'll bump into Carmen going the other way and Carmen can help verify your data while updating the templates. Thanks again for the help. =) CycloneGU (talk) 01:25, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah, I didn't realize there was a second sheet. I'll check that to see if the descriptions are any different. I'm doing Kalos now, and I'll go from Volcarona backwards afterwards like you suggested. No problem, and thank you for helping me out too. TepiGreninja (talk) 01:29, 8 August 2016 (UTC)
- As a note, TepiGreninja, please do not take things from Serebii. Serebii does not appreciate things being taken from their site. (The same basically goes for any fan site.) Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:42, 8 August 2016 (UTC)

Trozei/Shuffle
Please don't change the composition of the Trozei and Shuffle spindata boxes. They work fine (or better) side-by-side, there's no reason at all to split them into two rows. Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:48, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
- I personally think they work better in two rows. All other games are in separate rows, so it's consistent that way. Plus the Shuffle boxes are bigger than the Battle Trozei ones, so it looks weird side-by-side with that weird blank space above and below the Battle Trozei ones. TepiGreninja (talk) 02:51, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
- For my money, all the whitespace in the Battle Trozei box when you do that is roughly just as weird.
- But part of our consideration, too, is that we don't really want to make the sidegame data box bigger than it needs to be. And Battle Trozei and Shuffle fit quite well next to each other most of the time. Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:55, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah, you have a point there. But I really have a problem with consistency, so I can't leave some pages with the boxes side-by-side and some with them in two rows. lol So I guess I'm going back and changing all of the pages again. .-. TepiGreninja (talk) 02:59, 12 August 2016 (UTC)
The Preview Button
Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --Carmen★ (Talk | contribs) 18:22, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
Picross Gamedata
Getting back to you after your post on my talk page. If you want to try to put together a template that would work within the side game layout, please feel free to try. If you'd like, I can help you set up something to work with in your userspace, and I'll try to help with it. I'm not the best with templates myself, but see for instance Battle Trozei and PokéPark to see how each is constructed, and then try setting yours up, perhaps at a location like User:TepiGreninja/Sandbox {I have my own, so something like that). CycloneGU (talk) 22:13, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
- I just noticed I titled this wrong, so changing that. Also, DO NOT put it live on any pages until staff approves; we'll help tweak it in userspace if needed before it goes live, plus it needs to be approved. Just so we're clear on that. =) CycloneGU (talk) 22:19, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
