This card was released in Japan as one of the XY-P Promotional cards, awarded to those who purchased at least ¥1500 worth of merchandise during the White Mega Gengar Campaign held from September 13th until October 14th, 2014. It was released in English on November 18, 2016 in the Collector Chest 2016 as an XY Black Star Promo.
