The Pokémon Fan Club Chairman (Japanese: ポケモン 大好きクラブ かいちょう Pokémon Lovers Club President) is the head of the Pokémon Fan Club, a Pokémon lover association. There are five known chairmen, all of them being Gentlemen or Monsieurs.
In the games
There are five chairmen, each appearing in their respective regions. They all seem to have a common interest in talking about their Pokémon.
Kanto
The Kanto Pokémon Fan Club Chairman first appears in the fan clubhouse in Vermilion City in Pokémon Red and Blue, as well as in their Generation III remakes. He talks about his two favorite Pokémon, Rapidash and Fearow at length, and then gives the player a Bicycle Voucher, which can be redeemed at the bicycle shop in Cerulean City. In Pokémon Yellow, he has a new hobby: taking Pokémon photos. The big photos of his Rapidash and Fearow can be seen on the walls of the clubhouse.
He appears again in Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal, as well as their Generation IV remakes, in the same location. Again, he talks about his Rapidash, but this time he gives the player a Rare Candy for listening to his story. He also claims to have raised over 150 Pokémon in his life.

- First time talking to
- "Er-hem! I am the Chairman of the Pokémon Fan Club! Being the Chairman, I am naturally the most important! No one can best me when it comes to raising Pokémon. No one! In any Contest, my victory is a foregone conclusion! But, that would deprive others of their enjoyment. So I now while away my time examining the Pokémon of others. It is marvelous to witness how others have raised Pokémon. The contented faces of properly raised Pokémon... The kind and loving gazes of their Trainers... My heart is overwhelmed - there is so much happiness. Oh my! Excuse me! I seem to have nattered on far too long! Please, do allow me to examine your Pokémon and see how it's grown."RS

Well, let me tell you about Pokémon Contests. They're events where one can show off Pokémon for the world to see! However, they're held in far-off towns, so I cannot participate often enough. That is why we gather here to show off our Pokémon, and have others show us theirs. Er-hem! I see you've participated in a Pokémon Contest! Please! Allow me to examine how you have raised your Pokémon. It delights me no end to see Pokémon raised by other Trainers. The happy expressions of Pokémon raised with proper care... The kindly eyes of the Trainer that nurtured and raised the Pokémon... The very thought fills my heart to overwhelming with joy. Oh! I do beg your pardon! Forgive me for prattling on so! Please! Allow me to examine how much your Pokémon has grown!"E

Sinnoh
The Sinnoh Pokémon Fan Club Chairman appears in Hearthome City, where he gives the player the Poffin Case. He says that his Fan Club is number one nationwide, primarily because he brags more than anyone. However, he has discontinued his gloating, as he has received several complaints about it. This may explain why only one member is found in his club, as a Pokéfan in Johto states, that "Pokéfans have a policy of not listening to other people brag."
Quotes
Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum
- "Hello, hello! How, I say, do you do? I am the Pokémon Fan Club Chairman! Indeed, yes I am! When you wish to treat your Pokémon to a treat, what, I say, do you do? If I may say so, and I will, I feed Poffins to my Pokémon! And why, I say, would I do that? Because the giving of Poffins is a way of expressing your love! For example! If I were to give a Sweet Poffin, the Pokémon eating it would become more cute! For example! A Spicy Poffin will add to the coolness of a Pokémon! In such ways I say that Poffins have nothing but goodness for Pokémon! Therefore! I declare this Poffin Case to be a gift from me to you!"
- "I urge you to fill it with Poffins and be generous in dispensing them to your Pokémon!"
- "Nationwide, there are other fan clubs, but we are number one! And why are we number one? Because I brag more than anyone! But now I can't brag as much... People started complaining, so I've had to curtail my bragging..."

In the main series
- Main article: Mr. Sukizo
In the Pokémon anime, Mr. Sukizo is the President of the Pokémon Fan Club. He is a man of few words who, along with Mr. Contesta and Nurse Joy, serves as a judge for Pokémon Contests and related events, such as the Grand Festival and the Wallace Cup. He also judged the Pokémon Dress-Up Contest, which was organized by fellow members of the Pokémon Fan Club.
In Pokémon Origins
The Pokémon Fan Club Chairman appeared briefly in File 2: Cubone. He gave Red a Bike Voucher so he could get a free bicycle. Presumably, Red revisited the Chairman to show him the bike, as he is seen waving to the Chairman as he walks off with it.
In the manga
In the Pokémon Adventures manga
Three of the chairmen appear in Pokémon Adventures manga. They are all short odd old men who often give the status of an honorary club member to people they meet who have Pokémon with them.
The chairman of the Kanto fan club's first appearance was in Danger: High Voltorb where he forced Red to be part of the community and even borrowed his Pikachu. His Abra, along with all the members' Pokémon were stolen by Lt. Surge. When Red hears about that, he goes to the S.S. Anne to rescue them and give them back to members of the fan club. When the chairman sees that his Abra evolved into Alakazam while being on the ship, he faints. By the time of the Yellow arc, he becomes inspired to take up Pokémon battling after seeing Red win the Indigo League.
Hoenn's chairman appears in Tripped Up by Torkoal. He meets Ruby and shows him around Slateport City, after which he escorts him to the Contest Hall. He also shows him that not all people in Hoenn are "barbaric" and want to battle with Pokémon. He, along with Ruby, Captain Stern and Dock were abducted and taken to a shipyard as hostages. Days after the incident, he and Dock still displayed effects of being exposed to smoke.
Sinnoh's chairman appears in Perturbed by Pachirisu. He meets the main trio in Hearthome City and leads them to the Fan Club building, where he gives them a Poffin Case. He also tells the trio basic knowledge about the Contests and Poffins and works as a mentor of some sort for them. After Diamond gets busy cooking Poffins and Platinum practices dance moves with her Pokémon, the Fan Club chairman recommends that Pearl works on the move appeal strategy for Platinum's upcoming Contest.
All of the chairmen appear very similar to each other. While their relations to each other have never been explained, the Hoenn chairman mentions having a brother.

A Pokémon Fan Club Chairman first appeared in Clefairy's Christmas Present where he was in a poor town and this discouraged him from celebrating Christmas. Giovanni came by to cause trouble. After he was defeated by Clefairy, Giovanni decided to make things up by having Meowth bake a cake for him. However, the cake had a Voltorb inside and exploded when Clefairy sliced the cake. This made the Kanto Chairman and everyone else mad at Clefairy.
A Chairman from Johto first appeared in Togepi's Determination!. He noticed that Togepi doesn't get that much attention unlike Red's Pikachu and Clefairy. This made Red think of the time that his Clefairy and Pikachu were in a wrestling match. Red then sadly admitted that the Chairman was right. Afterwards, the Chairman, Red and his Pokémon race over to an amusement park. They get in and watch his Tyrogue jump off a mountain. The Chairman has a race with Red and his Pokémon. While Red was battling a Weedle, the Chairman rushes over to stop Togepi from getting hurt. After Red explained some things to him, he let Togepi continue the battle with the Weedle. However, as he predicted, Togepi got hurt.
After the competition, the Chairman explained to Red about a Pokémon Dome he wanted to go to and wants Togepi to come along. Red begs him not to do this but his decision was final. Red tried disguising Clefairy as Togepi but the Chairman saw through his disguise. After Togepi decided to go with the Chairman, the Chairman became very excited with joy. He and Togepi go on a ship to the Pokémon Dome where they wave their farewells to Red and the group, with Togepi crying about it. However, a surprise was awaiting Red and the group which was the Tyrogue he had.
The Johto Chairman reappeared in The Food Battle where his Togepi got to reunite with Red and his Pokémon. He challenged the group to a food eating contest using his Togepi. Even though Red almost won, a single grain left over costed him the competition, whereas Togepi was able to finish the whole bowl. The Chairman made a cameo in a flashback in Tyrogue, Returning Home!? when Tyrogue was recalling the time that he was under his ownership.
