Brittany (Japanese: チヒロ Chihiro) is a character of the day who appeared in Same Old Song and Dance.
Ash and his friends stumbled across Brittany while she was practicing a song-and-dance routine with her twin Igglybuff, nicknamed Gigglybiff and Gigglybuff. Brock recognized Brittany as being the host of a talk show with the same name, as well as the singer of Brittany and the Loony Balloons. Brittany invited all of them to her concert later that evening.
At the concert, Team Rocket appeared and stole the Igglybuff twins, along with Jigglypuff. While Ash and Misty went with Brittany to look for the stolen Pokémon, Brock entertained the crowd with a song.
Soon, the Igglybuff twins were returned safely to Brittany, and the concert continued on as planned. Afterwards, Jigglypuff decided to perform using Sing and put everyone to sleep.

Gigglybiff (Japanese: ププラン Pupuran) and Gigglybuff (Japanese: ププルン Pupurun) are Brittany's twin Igglybuff. They perform with her on stage and are dressed up in many costumes by her. They first appeared when they were training for their performance when Ash and his friends came along. Brittany then made them perform for Ash and his friends and they were very impressed. Suddenly, Jigglypuff appeared and started to bully the two Igglybuff without the group noticing. That evening, the show started and the Igglybuff performed perfectly, but suddenly Team Rocket appeared. Weezing used Smokescreen and they stole the duo.
Ash, Misty and Brittany chased after them and finally found them. They were able to free the Igglybuff, the duo used Charm before Pikachu sent them blasting off. In the end, Gigglybiff and Gigglybuff were able to put on another dazzling performance.
Gigglybiff and Gigglybuff's known moves are Charm and Sweet Kiss.

Trivia
- Her Japanese name, Chihiro, is a possible reference to idol singer Chihiro Yonekura, while her English name, Brittany, is a possible reference to the famous pop star Britney Spears.
- Brittany is somewhat similar to Bailey in the fact that she had two of the same Pokémon that performed together. Also, both of their pairs of Pokémon have nicknames that are similar to their partners. (Bailey owns two Bellossom named Belle and Bella. Brittany's Igglybuff are named Gigglybiff and Gigglybuff.)
- One of the girls seen in the Striaton Gym in Triple Leaders, Team Threats! has a striking resemblance to Brittany.
