The Mega Evolution Pokédex Shorts are a series of shorts that introduce mostly Mega-Evolved Pokémon that debuted in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

In the original Japanese version, it originally aired as a post-credits segment of the anime's XY series in the place of Professor Oak's Pokémon Holo Caster. It aired from Battling Into the Hall of Fame! to Facing the Grand Design! (including the delayed An Undersea Place to Call Home!).

In the dub, these segments were aired separately on the Pokémon TV service. Two of the segments were also uploaded to the official Pokémon YouTube channel.

Structure

The Mairin's Mega Evolution Journal (Japanese: マノンのメガシンカ絵日記 Manon's Mega Evolution Journal) shorts feature chibi versions of Mairin and Chespie as they present the shorts, providing commentary.
