The following usable non-status moves are not present on the list of power: Dragon Energy, Earie Spell, Expanding Force, Fiery Wrath, Flip Turn, Freezing Glare, Glacial Lance, Grassy Glide, Meteor Beam, Misty Explosion, Scale Shot, Scorching Sands, Shell Side Arm, Skitter Smack, Steel Roller, Surging Strikes, Terrain Pulse, Thunder Cage, Thunderous Kick, Triple Axel, and Wicked Blow. Any reason towards this, or is it an oversight? WOLKsite (talk) 01:05, 3 June 2021 (UTC)

:Those all appear to be moves added in DLC. I assume they are missing simply because the list was never updated after the DLC was released. Excluding them is not intentional. --<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 02:26, 3 June 2021 (UTC)

New Max Moves

There's a water-type move called Max Geyser, you should add that. Salamence1993 (talk) 18:29, 15 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Ice-type Max Move

Well, I created an article about ダイアイス, an Ice-type Max Move. It should be linked on this list. --TheICTLiker4piszże do mnie 19:36, 11 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Add regular move power column

Maybe add a column that displays the moves regular power, would be nice to compare the before and after max boost.

No conversion formula?

Is there no conversion formula (even piecewise/stepwise/doesn't have to be a simple function) between the base move power and the Max move power, like there is for Z-Moves? The current table is very long and feels like it doesn't need to be. Blueapple128 (talk) 17:45, 20 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Well, have you tried to find one yourself?
I don't think there's an easy one. Fighting type moves are particularly "weak", for example, and Counter's Max Move has a different power than Mirror Coat or Final Gambit, so the list is probably easiest. Nescientist (talk) 18:10, 20 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
Fighting and Poison (and Multi-Attack, because it can be those types) are less powerful than other types. Otherwise, the formula is roughly as follows (credit to SadisticMystic), although I've removed all of the exceptions (and there are a lot).
Original Power Max Move Power
Most types Fighting & Poison
150+ 150 100
110-140 140 95
75-100 130 90
65-70 120 85
55-60 110 80
45-50 100 75
10-40 90 70

Contact Effects?

Are Max moves considered contact moves? And if so what moves are. Im asking this because a friend asked me if protective pads would protect his pokemon from a max dragon attack drop if the max move used was a physical attack. HappyDuckJJ (talk) 20:55, 19 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
