Briar (Japanese: ブライア Briar) is a character introduced in The Teal Mask in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. She is a teacher at Blueberry Academy.

Briar is a descendant of Heath, the author of the Scarlet BookS/Violet BookV. She owns the original copy of the book, which contains unredacted information on the Pokémon Terapagos. As Heath was discredited for his writings in the book, Briar seeks to find Terapagos in order to prove Heath's theories correct.
