Slam (Japanese: たたきつける Slam) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation I.
Effect
Slam inflicts damage and has no secondary effect.
Slam can be used as the second move of a Pokémon Contest combination, with the user gaining 2 bonus appeal points if Pound was used in the previous turn.

- If Secret Power is used on ordinary terrain in the Generation III games, it will have the animation of Slam.
- In the Spanish versions of the Generation I to V games, Slam is mistranslated as Portazo, meaning "Door-Slam." In Generation VI, this was corrected to Atizar.
