In the trivia section it says, "Despite it being explicitly stated that there was no such thing as an evil Pokémon in this episode [...]". But is it really "explicitly stated"? From what I get, it's only Ekans' (and maybe Koffing's) opinion, which would make the trivia point kinda moot. - Mr. Flix | Talk to me~ 12:01, 21 March 2016 (UTC)

The article says this in its translation of the subtitles: "There was also a subtitle that told the time." I've just watched the version on Amazon Japan and did not see any such subtitle. The translation is otherwise accurate. I'll leave it there for now in case it is in some other version. -Drifter (talk) 00:30, 25 November 2023 (UTC)

Subtitles

 • "In non-English dubs, the Pokémon were given human voices and the English subtitles were kept." - any proof? Polish dub had no subs at all, so i see no reason why all other dubs would have the subs on... someone should confirm that. --AtoMan 17:51, 18 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
I should of have mentioned the specific dub I know is that way (the Latin American one). It's probably because the Latin American dub overwrites the American one and doesn't do it directly from Japan. Not sure of how to reword it :S. Maybe without the subtitles part? --Johans 15:55, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Human voices is what I find most doubtful. This island doesn't have the magical spirit to let the pokémon speak human language. TheBlazikenMaster 21:09, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
No, no; that did happen. I just reworded it and now it says "In some non-English dubs, the Pokémon used human language and the English subtitles were kept". AtoMan, was it that way in the Polish dub, too? And BTW, the captions always existed in both the American English-language dub and the Latin American Spanish-language dub (in fact, the captions thing was already written in this article before I mentioned the non-English dubs in the same sentence). --Johans 05:42, 22 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Non-asian countries ALL base on US dub, but still, Polish version has no english subtitles for Pokemon talking at all. Also the Whirl Islands maps in early Master Quest episodes are "clean", without English or any text. --AtoMan 17:31, 28 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Drunk?

Hmm... Isn't it worthwhile to note, in Trivia, about the fact that Pikachu and the other Pokemon get DRUNK at Slowbro's bar? Or is it unnotable?--Nostalgia 22:00, 20 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Slowbro?

Just so I'm not misunderstanding, is the newly evolved slowbro that is mentioned in the list of pokemon counted as the Slowbro that runs the little bar and grill (idk what to actually call it) the Pokemon rest at? or is it counted as at the end of the episode when slowpoke evolves? This might seem a bit insignificant, but idk shouldn't the bar and grill have been mentioned somewhere? In A Manica 05:41, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Slowpoke evolved?

I saw this episode twice and it seems Slowbro was no Slowpoke at the beginning of the last scene. Isn't it possible the Pokémon hasn't evolved IN the last scene, but before? I mean as it sat on the rock with its tail in the water maybe it already was a Slowbro! This would explain why there was no white energy while it evolved, simply because there wasn't an evolution. [Sorry for my bad English] --LaBumm 02:03, 21 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Genders

How negligible were the implications of genders that they weren't deemed confirmations of the Pokémon's gender? tc²₆tc26 00:47, 10 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

No evil Pokémon

In the trivia section it says, "Despite it being explicitly stated that there was no such thing as an evil Pokémon in this episode [...]". But is it really "explicitly stated"? From what I get, it's only Ekans' (and maybe Koffing's) opinion, which would make the trivia point kinda moot. - Mr. Flix | Talk to me~ 12:01, 21 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

"Time" subtitle

The subtitle was added to the English dub. I've clarified that statement. Weedle Mchairybug (talk) 10:48, 25 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
