The Rare Bone (Japanese: きちょうなホネ Valuable Bone) is a valuable item introduced in Generation IV.
In the core series games
Price

In the Generation V games, the Rare Bone can be sold to the Rare Bone maniac on Route 18 for $10000.
In Pokémon Sword and Shield, the Rare Bone can be sold to the valuable item buyer in Stow-on-Side for $11,111.
Effect
The Rare Bone serves no practical purpose other than to be sold.
In Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, the Rare Bone counts as a Fossil towards Fossil count when dug up in the Underground.

Trivia
- In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, when found in the Grand Underground, the Rare Bone uses a whitened alternative of the artwork provided by the Pokémon Global Link.
- It is the only item in the game to use a sprite that is not identical to its Global Link counterpart.
- Until Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the Rare Bone and Thick Club shared the same Bag sprite.
