Pokémon world locations

Layuda Island (Japanese: ライウンじま Laiun Island) is a location in Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs.

Layuda Island is one of the notable islands of Oblivia. Due to electric storms above the island, players must obtain the assistance of Latios or Latias in order to fly to the island. Its main and only known feature is Mt. Layuda (Japanese: ライウンやま Laiun Mountain), the home of the legendary bird Zapdos. In order to access the topmost part of the mountain for the first time, players must use the Ranger Sign of Raikou.

Mt. Layuda

After completing the game and accepting a mission from Rand, players must chase down the three legendary birds through the sky. Upon catching up with Zapdos, it will go down to its home on top of the mountain. There, players must battle it to gain a part of the golden armor held by Edward and Purple Eyes. Upon achieving victory, players will obtain the Ranger Sign to summon Zapdos. Using this Ranger Sign at the summit of Mt. Layuda will allow players to fight the Legendary Pokémon once again.
