Moves. There are a lot of different moves, and the majority of Pokémon can learn a wide array of moves. But some make you wonder: why can't they learn that move? Here's the moves that (in my opinion) are missing from certain Pokémon's movepools. I will sort them by move and also give reasons for my choices.
On this page, I will provide detailed information on all the Pokémon I caught and used in my Pokémon Let's Plays on YouTube. The episodes in the moveboxes correspond to the episode numbers of the Let's Play, not the Pokémon anime episodes the numbers link to.

List of moves
Note to self: up next is Episode 25.
The moves will be sorted in alphabetical order.

Acid Spray
Let's Play Pokémon Ruby
Pokémon that should know Acid Spray in my opinion:

Bellsprout, Weepinbell, Victreebel, Scrafty: Pokédex entries mention that these Pokémon are capable of spitting acid.

Spinarak, Ariados, Joltik, Galvantula: Spiders tend to use all kinds of acids to melt their prey's insides with.

desc=Mudkip was first used by Jos to ward off a wild Poochyena that attacked Professor Birch. Out of gratitude, Professor Birch allowed Jos to keep Mudkip as his starter Pokémon. It was used to defeat May's Treecko in Jos's first trainer battle shortly afterwards.

Carnivine: Flytraps like Carnivine also generally use acids to help digest their prey.
On Route 102, Mudkip battled against a wild Wurmple so that Jos could catch it. It was also used to battle against a wild Taillow on Route 104, which Jos also ended up catching.

Agility
Mudkip proved to be extremely useful when Jos took on the Rustboro City Gym, easily defeating all the trainers' Geodudes with its Water Gun. It was used in the battle against Roxanne where it easily defeated her Geodude. It was then switched out for Dustox. After Dustox and Taillow were defeated by Roxanne's Nosepass, Mudkip was sent out to battle it and ended up defeating it.
Pokémon that should know Agility in my opinion:

align=center | <br>Pawniard
align=center | <br>Bisharp
Sandile, Krokorok, Krookodile: Crocodiles are capable of moving extremely fast for short periods of time, and Feraligatr can learn Agility, so...

Pawniard, Bisharp: After seeing Pawniard in action in BW041, it definately seems capable of rapid movement to me.
Mudkip was used in the Dewford Gym, where it battled a Battle Girl's Meditite before being recalled. It was also used in the battle against Brawly, where it was sent out to battle his Makuhita. Mudkip lowered its accuracy with several Mud-Slaps but was defeated by a Bulk Up-boosted Arm Thrust.

Air Slash
Mudkip evolved into Marshtomp and learned how to use Mud Shot after defeating a Sailor's Machop on Slateport Beach. It was then used to fight off several Team Magma Grunts at the Slateport Museum to protect Captain Stern.
Pokémon that should know Air Slash in my opinion:
align=center | <br>Shiftry
align=center | <br>Drifblim
align=center | <br>Gabite
align=center | <br>Garchomp
align=center | <br>Gallade
align=center | <br>Axew
align=center | <br>Fraxure
align=center | <br>Haxorus
align=center | <br>Pawniard
align=center | <br>Bisharp
Shiftry, Drifblim: Both are related to winds and have sharp-looking appendages with which blades of air can be formed.

Gabite, Garchomp: Garchomp's Pokédex entry states that it can fell trees with blades of air when it runs. Gabite's physical shape resembles Garchomp, so it would be able to do the same.
Marshtomp was used to battle May's Numel on Route 110 and easily defeated it. It also defeated Wally's Ralts in Mauville City.

Axew, Fraxure, Haxorus Their tusks look capable enough to create blades of air with. If Oshawott and Sewaddle can do it...
Marshtomp was used to great effect in the Mauville Gym, easily defeating the gym trainers' Voltorbs, Magnemites and Electrikes. It was also used against Wattson's Magneton and defeated it with a single Mud Shot.

Gallade, Pawniard, Bisharp: They can create blades of air with their arm blades.
Marshtomp was used in Jos's battles with the Winstrate family. It defeated Vivi's Numel.

Aqua Jet
Marshtomp was used to battle Team Magma Admin Maxie on Mt. Chimney, where it defeated Maxie's Golbat.
Pokémon that should know Aqua Jet in my opinion:
align=center | <br>Horsea
align=center | <br>Seadra

align=center | <br>Kingdra
align=center | <br>Huntail
align=center | <br>Gorebyss
Horsea, Seadra, Kingdra: These Pokémon are very fast, and I think Aqua Jet suits them.

Goldeen, Seaking: These fish Pokémon can swim very fast, so they would be able to lunge at high speeds.
Marshtomp was used in the Lavaridge Gym to battle Flannery. It defeated one of her Slugma's. It also fought Flannery's Torkoal, but it was defeated after Torkoal's Attract prevented it from attacking.

Huntail, Gorebyss: These fish Pokémon aren't very fast swimmers, but they can lunge very fast to catch prey.
Marshtomp  was used in the Petalburg Gym, where it defeated a Zangoose and a Linoone. It was used in Jos's battle against Norman, where it defeated Norman's Vigoroth. It then used Growl to lower Norman's Slaking's attack before being defeated.

align=center | <br>Gothorita
align=center | <br>Gothitelle
Clefairy, Clefable, Chansey, Blissey: They all have this mystical and pure aura around them, which makes them candidates for Aura Sphere, IMO.

Ralts, Kirlia, Gardevoir, Gallade, Gothita, Gothorita, Gothitelle: These Pokémon read emotions of other people, which means they're proficient with aura.

desc=Wurmple was caught on Route 102 shortly after Jos started on his journey. It put up a good fight against his Mudkip, but was eventually caught and added to his team.

Meditite, Medicham, Darmanitan: Through hardened meditation, their aura becomes so strong they can harness it in battle.
Wurmple initially struggled in battles and required the assistance of Mudkip a lot, but it eventually evolved into Cascoon  after defeating a Youngster's Seedot just outside Petalburg City, learning Harden in the process.

Celebi, Sigilyph: This elusive move will add to their mystery factor.
Cascoon was used to battle a Team Magma Grunt's Poochyena in Petalburg Woods to rescue a Devon Corporation employee who was in the forest looking for Shroomish. Shortly afterwards, it evolved into Dustox after defeating a Lass's Lotad and Shroomish, learning Confusion in the process.

Autotomize
Dustox was used in the Rustboro Gym battle against Roxanne, where it was sent out to battle her Nosepass. It managed to poison it with Poison Sting and deal some damage to it with Confusion before being defeated by Nosepass's Rock Tomb.
Pokémon that should know Autotomize in my opinion:

align=center | <br>Metagross
align=center | <br>Magnezone
Magnemite, Magneton, Beldum, Metang, Metagross, Magnezone: Due to being made up of multiple Pokémon, these Pokémon could easily shed parts of their body to make themselves lighter and faster.

Belly Drum
Dustox had a rematch with the Team Magma Grunt's Poochyena in Rusturf Tunnel, and it defeated the Poochyena again, saving Mr. Briney's precious Wingull.
Pokémon that should know Belly Drum in my opinion:

align=center | <br>Beartic
align=center | <br>Druddigon
Kangaskhan, Ludicolo, Grumpig, Bibarel, Pignite, Emboar: These Pokémon all have relatively fat bodies and large bellies that they could drum on.

Snubbull, Granbull, Slakoth, Vigoroth, Slaking, Cubchoo, Beartic: These Pokémon are all prone to anger and physically oriented, so they could use the power boost.
Dustox was used in the Dewford Gym, where its Confusion and Gust proved very useful. It was sent out against Brawly's Machop after it defeated Jos's Makuhita and defeated it. It was sent out again to battle Brawly's Makuhita, which had already defeated both Mudkip and Taillow, and defeated it.

Snover, Abomasnow: They're kinda fat, and Belly Drum + Ice Shard could give them a useful niche in the metagame.
Dustox was sent out to battle May's Wailmer on Route 110. It managed to poison it before switching out to Makuhita. It was sent out again to battle May's Grovyle after it defeated Taillow and defeated it.

Oshawott, Dewott, Samurott: Aren't otters known for drumming on their bellies using the food they find?
Dustox was sent out to battle Wattson's Voltorb in the Mauville Gym. Voltorb immediately used Selfdestruct, but Dustox managed to hang on.

Druddigon: Kinda fat, and it'd give Druddigon something that other dragons like Salamence, Hydreigon and Haxorus don't have.
Dustox was used in Jos's battles with the Winstrate family. It defeated Victor's Taillow, Victoria's Roselia, Vivi's Marill and Shroomish, and Vicky's Meditite.

Blaze Kick
Dustox was used to battle Team Magma Admin Maxie on Mt. Chimney, where it was defeated by his Golbat.
Pokémon that should know Blaze Kick in my opinion:

align=center | <br>Pansear
align=center | <br>Simisear
Ponyta, Rapidash: Horses are known for their kicking, they can learn Double Kick, and they're on fire.

Magmar, Typhlosion, Magby, Magmortar, Pignite, Emboar, Pansear, Simisear: They are all Fire-types, and they all have well-developed legs to kick with.
Dustox was used in the Lavaridge Gym, where it defeated some Numels, some Slugma's and a Meditite. It was also used against Flannery and defeated one of her Slugma's. It then tried to poison her Torkoal with Poison Sting, but it was knocked out before it could succeed.

Hitmontop: Hitmontop could spin so fast that it sets its foot on fire because of the friction.
Dustox  was used in the Petalburg Gym, where it was defeated by a Zangoose. It later defeated a Linoone before being defeated by another Zangoose. It was the first Pokémon sent out to battle Norman and was defeated by his Slaking.

Meditite, Medicham: They could use their psychic powers to control the fire with or something.

Charizard, Togekiss: The Zubat line proves you don't have to be a bird to know Brave Bird.

Spearow, Fearow, Noctowl, Pidove, Tranquill, Unfezant: These guys desperately need better Flying STAB.
Taillow was used in the Rustboro Gym battle against Roxanne, where it was sent out to battle her Nosepass after it defeated Dustox. It managed to lower Nosepass's attack power with Growl before being defeated.

Aerodactyl: It's technically not a bird, but it would go great with its Rock Head ability.
Taillow was used to battle a wild Makuhita in Granite Cave which Jos ended up capturing. Taillow was also taught how to use Steel Wing with the TM that Jos received from Steven.

Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres: While Articuno may not need it, it might be helpful for Zapdos and Moltres, giving them some mixed potential.
Taillow was used in the Dewford Gym, where it learned Wing Attack. It was sent out to battle Brawly's Makuhita after it defeated Mudkip and severely damaged it, but Taillow was unable to defeat it and was knocked out.

Taillow was sent out to battle May's Grovyle on Route 110 and severely damaged it before being defeated. Taillow learned how to use Double Team after defeating an Aroma Lady's Shroomish and Roselia despite being paralyzed.

Taillow was entered in a Cool Pokémon Contest in Verdanturf Town and barely managed to win it with a combination of Double Team and Quick Attack, earning itself a Ribbon.

Taillow was used in the Mauville Gym to defeat a Meditite.

Taillow evolved into Swellow on Route 112 after defeating a Camper's Zigzagoon.

Swellow was used to battle Team Magma Admin Maxie on Mt. Chimney after Maxie's Golbat defeated Jos's Dustox. However, it was also defeated by Golbat.

Swellow was used in the Lavaridge Gym, where it defeated a few Slugma's and a Numel before being defeated by a Kecleon. It was also used against Flannery's Slugma, which easily defeated Swellow with a single Overheat.

Swellow was used in the Petalburg Gym, where it defeated a Delcatty and a Linoone before being defeated by a Zangoose. It was used in Jos's battle against Norman, where it fought Norman's Vigoroth and was defeated.

On this page, I will provide detailed information on all the Pokémon I caught and used in my Pokémon Let's Plays on YouTube. The episodes in the moveboxes correspond to the episode numbers of the Let's Play, not the Pokémon anime episodes the numbers link to.

Note to self: up next is Episode 25.

Let's Play Pokémon Ruby

Mudkip → Marshtomp → Swampert
Jos's Swampert
Jos's Swampert

Mudkip was first used by Jos to ward off a wild Poochyena that attacked Professor Birch. Out of gratitude, Professor Birch allowed Jos to keep Mudkip as his starter Pokémon. It was used to defeat May's Treecko in Jos's first trainer battle shortly afterwards.

On Route 102, Mudkip battled against a wild Wurmple so that Jos could catch it. It was also used to battle against a wild Taillow on Route 104, which Jos also ended up catching.

Mudkip evolved into Marshtomp and learned how to use Mud Shot after defeating a Sailor's Machop on Slateport Beach. It was then used to fight off several Team Magma Grunts at the Slateport Museum to protect Captain Stern.

Marshtomp was used to battle May's Numel on Route 110 and easily defeated it. It also defeated Wally's Ralts in Mauville City.

Marshtomp was used to great effect in the Mauville Gym, easily defeating the gym trainers' Voltorbs, Magnemites and Electrikes. It was also used against Wattson's Magneton and defeated it with a single Mud Shot.

Marshtomp was used in Jos's battles with the Winstrate family. It defeated Vivi's Numel.

Marshtomp was used to battle Team Magma Admin Maxie on Mt. Chimney, where it defeated Maxie's Golbat.

Marshtomp was used in the Lavaridge Gym to battle Flannery. It defeated one of her Slugma's. It also fought Flannery's Torkoal, but it was defeated after Torkoal's Attract prevented it from attacking.

Marshtomp was used in the Petalburg Gym, where it defeated a Zangoose and a Linoone. It was used in Jos's battle against Norman, where it defeated Norman's Vigoroth. It then used Growl to lower Norman's Slaking's attack before being defeated.

Wurmple → Cascoon → Dustox
Jos's Dustox
Jos's Dustox

Wurmple was caught on Route 102 shortly after Jos started on his journey. It put up a good fight against his Mudkip, but was eventually caught and added to his team.

Wurmple initially struggled in battles and required the assistance of Mudkip a lot, but it eventually evolved into Cascoon after defeating a Youngster's Seedot just outside Petalburg City, learning Harden in the process.

Dustox was used in the Rustboro Gym battle against Roxanne, where it was sent out to battle her Nosepass. It managed to poison it with Poison Sting and deal some damage to it with Confusion before being defeated by Nosepass's Rock Tomb.

Dustox had a rematch with the Team Magma Grunt's Poochyena in Rusturf Tunnel, and it defeated the Poochyena again, saving Mr. Briney's precious Wingull.

Dustox was sent out to battle May's Wailmer on Route 110. It managed to poison it before switching out to Makuhita. It was sent out again to battle May's Grovyle after it defeated Taillow and defeated it.

Dustox was sent out to battle Wattson's Voltorb in the Mauville Gym. Voltorb immediately used Selfdestruct, but Dustox managed to hang on.

Dustox was used in Jos's battles with the Winstrate family. It defeated Victor's Taillow, Victoria's Roselia, Vivi's Marill and Shroomish, and Vicky's Meditite.

Dustox was used to battle Team Magma Admin Maxie on Mt. Chimney, where it was defeated by his Golbat.

Dustox was used in the Lavaridge Gym, where it defeated some Numels, some Slugma's and a Meditite. It was also used against Flannery and defeated one of her Slugma's. It then tried to poison her Torkoal with Poison Sting, but it was knocked out before it could succeed.

Dustox was used in the Petalburg Gym, where it was defeated by a Zangoose. It later defeated a Linoone before being defeated by another Zangoose. It was the first Pokémon sent out to battle Norman and was defeated by his Slaking.
