Numel is a yellow, quadrupedal | [[File:TeamMagmaNumelDoubleCrisis1.jpg|thumb|150px|left|Several Numel pulling a cart]]
Numel is a yellow, quadrupedal Pokémon that resembles a {{wp|Dromedary}} camel with a volcano-like hump on its back. The hump is green at the very top and fades out into yellow with small green spots. It contains magma of almost 2,200 °F (1,200 °C). A female will have a bigger hump than a male. It has bangs on top of its head, sleepy eyes with brown circles around them, and short, stubby legs.
Numel is a very strong Pokémon, having served humans for many years with its ability to carry heavy loads up to 220 lbs. (100 kg). However, it slows down when wet and cannot stand when it is hungry. Due to its dull wits, it does not notice when it has been hit. Numel lives on {{DL|List of Pokémon by habitat|Mountain Pokémon|volcanic mountains}}. | Numel is a very strong Pokémon, having served humans for many years with its ability to carry heavy loads up to 220 lbs. Numel (Japanese: ドンメル Donmel) is a dual-type Fire/Ground Pokémon introduced in Generation III.
It evolves into Camerupt starting at level 33.
Biology
Numel is a yellow, quadrupedal Pokémon that resembles a Dromedary camel with a volcano-like hump on its back.
Numel lives on volcanic mountains.
In Generation IX, Numel is the only known Pokémon that can have Simple as an Ability.
Evolution
Numel evolves into Camerupt.

Trivia
- Numel's evolutionary line may be considered a counterpart of Carvanha's evolutionary line. Both of them are dual-type Pokémon, both lines have identical base stat totals per evolutionary stage, both of their final evolutions are used by Team Magma Leader Maxie and Team Aqua Leader Archie, respectively, and both of their final evolutions can Mega Evolve.
Origin
Numel appears to be based on a stylized dromedary camel with its single hump fashioned into a dormant volcano. However, Numel's barrel-shaped body and simplified extremities may also draw inspiration from a mule or donkey-shaped piñata.
Name origin
Numel may be a combination of numb and camel.
Donmel may be a combination of 鈍 don (dull, slow, stupid) and camel.
