The Galar first partner Pokémon in Pokémon the Series

The Galar first partner Pokémon are the trio of PokémonGrookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble[1]—chosen by Trainers at the start of their journey in Galar. These are traditionally given out by Leon and are to be used to battle the first wild Pokémon that the Trainer encounters.

In official contexts, the group is referred to descriptively in several ways, including "Galar first partner Pokémon"[2], "first partner Pokémon of the Galar region"[1], and more.

In the Galar-based core series games, the player can choose a Fire-, Water-, or Grass-type first partner Pokémon at level 5.
