A Harlequin (Japanese: クラウン Clown) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that debuted in the Generation V games.

They are very similar to the Clown Trainer class. Several Harlequins can be found in the Castelia Gym. They are also found balancing on narrow bridges above tall grass. Many Harlequins use Bug-type Pokémon, but they may also be seen using a variety of other Pokémon. In the Battle Subway, they specialize in Pokémon that benefit from Trick Room.

Upon being spoken to, a Harlequin in Castelia City's art gallery will ask the player to show him a certain type of Pokémon. If that type of Pokémon is shown to him, he will offer the player a Berry of their choice: (Cheri Berry, Chesto Berry, Pecha Berry, Rawst Berry, Aspear Berry).

Another Harlequin in Castelia City, Mr. Lock, is responsible for opening the Lock Capsule. He can be found in the same building the Name Rater is in.
