Howdy everyone and happy February! As we enter into a new decade of Pokémon and Bulbapedia, we figured it was time to share a few changes that have happened since our last update with you all!
Hello! This message is for all Nintendo fans out there.


It is with heavy hearts that we’re announcing the retirement of {{u|Jo The Marten}} as Bulbapedia’s Head of Games. Bulbapedia’s games section grew exponentially under Jo’s leadership for the past several years; we wish her the best in her well-deserved retirement. Jo’s departure leaves a vacancy on the Editorial Board that will be filled in the coming weeks, so be on the lookout for that.  
September 20th starts [[Bulbapedia:Cross-Wiki Week|Cross-Wiki Week]]! What is '''Cross-Wiki Week'''? It's an annual event hosted by the [[Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance]] to encourage collaboration across all of our NIWA wiki partners! This 10-day event (spanning two weekends) aims for editors to contribute to franchises outside of their normal activity. On a lighter note, a number of very deserving users who have gone above and beyond with their contributions have been hired as staff. Please help congratulate {{u|Celadonkey}}, {{u|Daniel Carrero}}, {{u|Frozen Fennec}}, {{u|Ruixiang95}}, and {{u|Wowy}} who have joined us as {{bp|Junior Administrator}}s. These users have been dedicated to Bulbapedia for several years and we cannot wait to see how they grow in their new roles!  
We encourage everyone to give it a try, even if it's only a few edits!


We have a few promotions within the staff as well! Congratulations to {{u|Chosen}}, {{u|CycloneGU}}, {{u|MisterE13}}, {{u|神奇超龍}}, {{u|Blazingfist}}, {{u|Tiddlywinks}}, and {{u|glik}} who are moving up in the ranks as well! We know these folks will flourish in their new positions as well.

On a last note, in an effort to simplify staff structure and overall user experience, the Editorial Board has decided to unify the staff of Bulbapedia and the Bulbagarden Archives. This process will be happening over the next several weeks. We hope this change will increase overall cohesion and collaboration between the two projects.

Hello! This message is for all Nintendo fans out there.

September 20th starts Cross-Wiki Week! What is Cross-Wiki Week? It's an annual event hosted by the Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance to encourage collaboration across all of our NIWA wiki partners! This 10-day event (spanning two weekends) aims for editors to contribute to franchises outside of their normal activity. For full details, visit the official event page here.

We encourage everyone to give it a try, even if it's only a few edits!

For participating editors:

  • When trying out a new wiki, be sure to check their policies and guidelines on how to help.
  • Use the hashtag #cww in your edit summaries for a chance to win a Nintendo eShop card! Two winners will be drawn.

For those new to Bulbapedia, please check out the Cross-Wiki Week landing page, the Editor's Hub, and the Bulletin Board for ways to help out. We look forward to seeing the expertise you bring to our Pokémon encyclopedia.
