Now, I haven't read this entire series (I've read the Viz translations of volumes 2 and 4, and the first 3 chapters of volume 1 in Japanese), however I have seen ''nothing'' suggesting that Satoshi is gay. In fact, quite the opposite. Unlike his anime counterpart he actually shows ''blatant attraction to women''. I've uploaded cover photos for the first issue of each series, in case someone finds a place to use them. They're not high quality as the the company who made my scanner won't let anyone release drivers for Linux for it, so I used my digital camera. The images are:

In the title. Should it be The Electric Tale of Pikachu or simply Electric Tale of Pikachu? The opening line refers to it as the former... TTEchidna 00:42, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
Movie Adaptation?
I'm pretty sure there was also an adaptation of the first Pokémon movie based on The Electric Tale of Pikachu, or am I wrong? XD375 17:20, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
- You aren't wrong. I remember borrowing a CoroCoro from a friend, and there was a separate, smaller booklet enclosed in it celebrating the release of the first movie. This booklet had a manga based on the first few minutes of the first movie, and was draw by Ono. --Pizzaman 12:19, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
