Ninjask has the second highest Speed of any Pokémon in the games. It is surpassed only by the Speed Forme of Deoxys . With its ability, Speed Boost , and proper EV training in Speed, it is able to be the fastest of all Pokémon.
Its Generation IV sprite is similar to its Generation III sprite, the only difference being its claws opened.

It may have been based on a fully adult cicada .
