Badge One (Littleroot Town - Rustboro City)
Littleroot Town
After completing the start-up cutscene with Professor Birch, the player starts in a moving truck. After exiting, the player meets with their mom, starts their clock, and heads downstairs. The mom will be watching TV when the player gets back. She beckons the player quickly, saying that the player's dad might be on TV. However, the program ends. The mom will continue to talk, and you learn that your father is the gym leader of the Petalburg City Gym. The mom then suggests that the player goes and meets May (if the player is a boy) or Brendon (if the player is a girl), who later becomes your rival.
The rival's house is the one next to the player's. Walk into it, and go upstairs
