Samuel (Japanese: ソウタロウ Sōtarō) is the assistant of Pyramid King Brandon. He also referees Brandon's matches. He is voiced by Rich McNanna in English and 三戸耕三 Kōzō Mito in Japanese.
Samuel first appeared in Battling the Enemy Within were he refereed the match of Brandon and Ash, who was then possessed by the King of Pokélantis. At one point the king used him as a human shield by forcing Sceptile to hide behind him as Brandon's Regirock was preparing to fire a Hyper Beam at it, but Brandon was able to stop Regirock in time.
Samuel also appeared in Overjoyed!, Pinch Healing, Gathering the Gang of Four, and Pace - The Final Frontier!.
He also appeared in DP128. He refereed Paul's match against Brandon. Template:Animestub
