Synopsis

The current shihan wants it to be Ash while the title is also wanted by his granddaughter, Chigusa, and an outsider, Shiro. When Chigusa battles Shiro, she must understand the secret to Ash's strength to win.

  • Chigusa's graceful fighting skills are more in line with those of a Pokémon Coordinator; a concept that had not been introduced to the franchise when this episode was produced.

Errors

  • At one point Chigusa says, "Hitmonlee and I are going to destroy Shiro." However, this would only make sense if she said Hitmontop as Hitmonlee is Shiro's Pokémon.
