The Diamond and Pearl Talking Pokédex

The Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Electronic Talking Pokédex is a made by Jakks Pacific. It can give the name, type, height, weight, number and description of all the Pokémon in the Sinnoh Pokédex, from the voices of Ash's and Dawn's anime Pokédexes.

Pokémon Finder

Its main function is "Find a Pokémon." This function will give a Pokémon's information, much like the Pokédex in the games and anime. There are multiple ways to search, including:

  • by Pokémon number
  • alphabetically
  • by Height
  • by Weight
  • by Type

It can also save each Pokémon's info in a Collection.

Mini Games and Maze Mode

It includes 6 mini-games:

  • Who's That Pokémon?
  • Which Pokémon doesn't Belong?
  • Pokémon Search
  • Who would Win?
  • Pokémon Memory
  • Poké Ball Shuffle

and a maze game with 10 levels. The object of the game is to find 10 Pokémon in each maze, by avoiding Team Rocket, and escaping each level. Each time a player manages to defeat Team Rocket, they will win a Pokémon. If a player is defeated by Team Rocket, they will lose a Pokémon and have to search the maze to find it again.

Glitches

  • If a random Pokémon is removed from a collection, searching the empty position in the collection by type, causes a strange effect. Moving up, down, left or right through a collection causes visual static and random noises.
  • Some of the type advantages in the "Who Would Win" game are incorrect. e.g. Dialga, a Dragon and Steel type, is said to be weak to Water-type Pokémon. It's because the game only factors in one type for dual-type Pokémon.
