:There's no real confirmation either way, but it's safe to assume that, at the moment, the station serves no other purpose. Nintendo haven't said anything about it, and nobody out there has been able to discover anything, by hacking or otherwise. However, that's not to say that it won't be used in some future event. For now though, there's not much else on the page that can be said, as anything more regarding the nature of the station would be pure speculation. Purpose of the station

- There's no real confirmation either way, but it's safe to assume that, at the moment, the station serves no other purpose. Nintendo haven't said anything about it, and nobody out there has been able to discover anything, by hacking or otherwise. However, that's not to say that it won't be used in some future event.
