The old woman puts the bars in, trapping Gold, who finds angry Pokémon inside the room. Gold notices that all the Pokémon are elite fighters. A second into the battle, he is being chased by a {{p|Tauros}}. Dodging more attacks, he has [[Exbo]] use {{m|SmokeScreen}}, and [[Togebo]], his newly nicknamed {{p|Togepi}}, use {{m|Metronome}}. Metronome becomes {{m|Leer}}. The Leer hits an {{p|Ekans}}. Exbo then uses {{m|Ember}} on a {{p|Donphan}}, who deflects it.

Inside the Pokémon Day Care, the old woman and Gold look at some books. Gold sees Red and his Pokémon, and then shows Polibo Red's Poli. Afterwards, Gold enters another room.
