Biology
Psyduck is a yellow Pokémon that resembles a duck or bipedal platypus. Three tufts of black hair grow on top of its head, and it has a wide, flat, cream-colored beak and vacant eyes. Its legs, arms, and tail are stubby and its webbed feet are cream-colored. There are three claws on both of its hands.
Psyduck is a yellow Pokémon resembling a duck or a bipedal platypus. On top of its head are three thick strands of black hair, and it has a wide, flat cream-colored beak. Psyduck's eyes seem vacant and have tiny pupils. Its legs and tail are stubby, and it has cream-colored webbed feet. There are three claws on each of its hands.

Psyduck is constantly stunned by its headache and is unable to think very clearly. It usually stands immobile, trying to calm its headache. However, when its headache becomes too severe, it releases tension in the form of strong psychic powers. The use of these powers produces brain waves identical to those seen in sleepers, and the Pokémon is unable to recall these episodes. Psyduck lives in List of Pokémon by habitat, small ponds, or rivers in tropical areas.

As mentioned in Pokémon Sleep, Psyduck suffers headaches while it sleeps. Very rarely, their sights are Psyduck sleeping peacefully while not holding its head.

In the anime
Prior to Generation V, Psyduck and its evolved form, Golduck, were the only known Pokémon that could have Cloud Nine as an Ability.
Major appearances
Misty's Psyduck
Misty has a Psyduck that she accidentally caught in Hypno's Naptime. It is a constant source of frustration for her, as it frequently emerges from its Poké Ball to attempt to battle the opponent in substitution of one of her other Pokémon. Despite this, she has been shown to deeply care for it. Despite being generally shown as dimwitted and oblivious, when its headache gets bad enough, it has been shown to use phenomenally powerful Psychic moves which far exceed its normal ability.

Other
Evolution
In the Red, Green & Blue,Sigh for Psyduck an undead Psyduck that had been brought back to life by a Koga's Gastly appeared in the Pokémon Tower. It first appeared to Red like a normal Psyduck, until it attempted an assault on him: its eyeballs suddenly sunk into its eye sockets and some skin fell off, revealing its bones. A Psyduck appeared in The Last Battle XIII as one of the Pokémon sent to help the fight in Ilex Forest.

After several other appearances, a herd of Psyduck appeared, blocking the route to Celestic Town, just as they had in the games. However, included among them were Trainer Pokémon, and this was all a ruse by Team Galactic, which Cynthia catches on to shortly after calming them.

Major appearances
Misty's Psyduck
Psyduck debuted in Hypno's Naptime, where it was accidentally caught by Misty. Despite being generally shown as dimwitted and oblivious, when its headache gets bad enough, it has been shown to use phenomenally powerful Psychic moves, which far exceed its normal ability.

Other
In Bye Bye Psyduck, Marina owns a Psyduck. It wasn't as dopey as the Psyduck Misty had, and even proved itself to be rather strong in battle, managing to defeat Misty. However, it lost against a wild Golduck that Misty used under the belief that her Psyduck had evolved into it.

In Mewtwo Strikes Back, a Psyduck was cloned from Misty's Psyduck. It then participated in the battle between the original Pokémon and the cloned Pokémon. Psyduck reappeared in Mewtwo Returns.

In The Psyduck Stops Here!, eleven Psyduck (three newly hatched) lived by a pond. Three of the Psyduck were blocking the path that Ash and ashfr needed to pass on their way to Celestic Town. Ash and friends later discovered that they were living by the pond because nearby Lake Psyduck had been invaded by a trio of Muk. Ash and friends later evicted the Muk and allowed the Psyduck to live by Lake Psyduck so that the Psyduck's road blocking days can come to an end.

In Raid Battle in The Ruins!, Shane Seeker owns a Shiny Psyduck, which is his first and main Pokémon. Psyduck was used in a Raid Battle against a giant Goh.

A Trainer's Psyduck using a scarf, appeared in Memories of a Warming Kindness!. In the past, it helped Chrysa overcome her depression, after she lost her conference papers. This led her to have an obsession with Psyduck merchandise.

Psyduck (Japanese: コダック Koduck) is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I.

It evolves into Golduck starting at level 33.

Biology

Psyduck is a yellow Pokémon resembling a duck or a bipedal platypus. On top of its head are three thick strands of black hair, and it has a wide, flat cream-colored beak. Psyduck's eyes seem vacant and have tiny pupils. Its legs and tail are stubby, and it has cream-colored webbed feet. There are three claws on each of its hands.

Psyduck is constantly stunned by its headache and is unable to think very clearly. It usually stands immobile, trying to calm its headache. However, when its headache becomes too severe, Psyduck releases tension in the form of strong psychic powers. The use of these powers produces brain waves identical to those seen in sleepers, and the Pokémon is unable to recall these episodes. Psyduck lives in freshwater lakes and small ponds, but can be seen in rivers in tropical areas as shown in Pokémon Snap. As mentioned in Pokémon Sleep, Psyduck suffers headaches while it sleeps.[1] Very rarely, their sights are Psyduck sleeping peacefully while not holding its head.

Prior to Generation V, Psyduck and its evolved form, Golduck, were the only known Pokémon that could have Cloud Nine as an Ability.

Moon This Pokémon is troubled by constant headaches. The more pain it's in, the more powerful its psychokinesis becomes.
