Switches
They don't work.  I came to the page at 5:30 PM UTC to find Azelf lit up in the 9 PM to 3:59 AM period.  I tested edits removing just the switch for Mesprit and nothing was lit up; I started over removing Azelf's switch and suddenly Mesprit was lit up correctly.  Add to this the fact that the switches take into account UTC, not the user's local time, and therefore they don't work.

Keep the table, but forget the switches; they don't serve the correct function even when they work, and they are obviously not working.  Shoal Cave needs to have the switches removed too for the same reason; with a five hour difference just in my time zone alone, the switches actually have it wrong 87% of the time; it's actually pointing at 2:00 for me right now, and it's only 12:35 PM here.  CycloneGU (talk) 17:35, 26 January 2015 (UTC)
:I am not in favor of removing the tables on account of UTC alone, especially when taken into consideration with the Time article and the fact that it is the time that Bulbapedia runs off of.  In any case, you mentioned that there was an issue involving the switches and how they are messing up.  I took a look at the switches and most seemed to be alright; the exception being the 0 switch as I have seen 24 used instead.  After confirming and adding a UTC clock to the table, I messed with the 'G' values that are used for the hours.  When testing, I was able to get each Pokémon to light up correctly and was able to consistently control what lit up, including lighting up multiple cells.  I tried a test on removing a switch, but it only broke the cell instead of changing what cells lit up.  From what I can tell, there is no issues with the switches.  Additionally, you comment on the Shoal Cave article claims that it is broken as well, though you note that it is lit at 2:00; the same time frame as the time in your comment above.  From what I can tell, the issue appears to be an issue converting to EST from UTC and not the switches.  --Super goku (talk) 05:01, 29 January 2015 (UTC)

UTC time
Which raises the question of why the time is given in UTC in the first place, as it introduces two problems. First, it means that the viewer of the page is being shown an indicator for the "current" available Pokemon that doesn't match the actual availability, and second there is a problem in the formatting of the UTC time that subtracts the user's offset from the given UTC time, meaning that the UTC time given itself is incorrect. For example, the current time at the time of this edit is approximately 22:20 UTC, and my offset is listed as -04:00. When I view this page, the "current" time given in the box for availability is 02:20. There has to be a more user-friendly method of displaying the time that doesn't create a doubly-incorrect display.HawkAtreides (talk) 22:21, 2 July 2016 (UTC)

It's even worse on the Trackless Forest page, where the time display seems to be 12 hours off.HawkAtreides (talk) 22:26, 2 July 2016 (UTC)

:The UTC time is incorrect, but not for the reason you believe above. It just gets cached. You can purge the page's cache by clicking the timestamp at the top by your username (as I've currently done a short while ago just now) and it should use the current UTC time.
:But I've not entirely been a fan of this sort of time-sensitive stuff anyway, myself. We'd probably be better off without any time-formatting or clock of any kind; just display the intervals and let people figure out their own stuff. Like you illustrated, it just ends up all sorts of off, and questionably useful to most people even if it could be timely. ::I just realized the caching issue, which is itself creates further dysfunction. I don't feel as if the six-month rule should apply here - this is a standing issue, which has not been resolved, and if the availability switch is going to be incorrect for a vast majority of users of the site then it is detrimental to the function of the site. If there is no way to include a user's offset in the displayed time, and there is no way to force the page out of cache when using time displays like this, then the switch functionality needs to be removed due to being completely useless.HawkAtreides (talk) 22:42, 2 July 2016 (UTC)

Capturing Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit

Does anybody know if the Lake Guardians appear on specific weekdays, like the Swords of Justice? AGGRON989 14:18, 6 December 2014 (UTC)

Due to the fact that the legendary beasts appear depending on an hourly cycle, and the other extreme is the Swords of Justice cycling through the week, I'm led to believe that the Lake Guardians do a cycle of changing during each day. See below. CraftyWeavile (talk) 01:35, 9 December 2014 (UTC)

Exact Time Intervals

After sometime googleing about this, I found these topics on gamefaqs [1] and [2] that seems to confirm the times of the day for each:
"To get the cavern to appear, you need 3 pokemon with max happiness on your team. Aside from that, each one appears in specific timeframes. Uxie can be fought between 8-9pm, and Mespirit can be fought anytime between 4am-8pm. For the record, Azelf's timeframe is 9pm-4am."
