===1F=== | |||
Climb out of the water and up the three stairways. At the top, a single Grunt patrols around the hill. Battle him and climb up the stairs to the north.
===2F (West side; Northwest)===
There are two warp panels in the northwestern-most room. Step on the southern panel first to reach the southwest room and a Max Elixir, then warp back. Step on the other panel to reach the north-northwest room. Go down the stairs to the north.
=== | ===Submarine level (Northwest)===
Defeat the Grunt in the northwest room, then climb the northeast stairs back to 2F.
=== | ===2F (West side; North-central)===
In the north-central room, step on the single warp panel to reach the northwest panel in the southeast room.
=== | ===2F (West side; Southeast)===
Pass by two more Grunts and take the warp panel in the southwest corner.
=== | ===2F (West side; East-central)===
Step on the single warp panel to reach the easternmost part of 2F.
=== | ===2F (East side)===
The previous warp panel leads to the north side of a small room with several more. Follow them in the correct order—left, center, right, right—to reach the interior room on 2F.
=== | ===2F (West side; Central)===
In Maxie's office, there are four items near the western wall. The two nearest items are actually Electrode, waiting to attack unsuspecting intruders. The item to the southwest is a Nugget, and the final item is a Master Ball! This improved kind of Poké Ball has a 100% success rate, so be sure to save it for a hard-to-catch Pokémon!
Backtrack through the warp-filled hallway to return to the southeast room on 2F. Step on the southeast warp panel to reach the northeast room. Take the stairs down to 1F.
=== | ===Submarine level (Northeast)===
Go east and step on the warp panel there to be transported a short distance to the south; collect the Nest Ball from this enclosed area before warping back. Head southwest past another patrolling Grunt and take the warp panel there to the southwest room. Go west to find one of the Magma Admins, Tabitha, standing at the water's edge. A large shadow can be seen under the surface. Defeat him to stop Maxie's escape!

===== | The battle lasted just long enough for Maxie to escape in his powered-up submarine. It is imperative that you give chase, but you have no way to follow him underwater. Instead, you are restricted to the water's surface for now. Take the western warp panel for a shortcut to the cave entrance. Outside, the Grunt and his Wailmer have disappeared from the beach, clearing the way to the eastern ocean.

The single house in the area belongs to a man known as the Diving Treasure Hunter. He enjoys making deep-sea dives to collect Shards resting at the bottom. 1F
Climb out of the water and up the three stairways. At the top, a single Grunt patrols around the hill. Battle him and climb up the stairs to the north.
2F (West side; Northwest)
There are two warp panels in the northwestern-most room. Step on the southern panel first to reach the southwest room and a Max Elixir, then warp back. Step on the other panel to reach the north-northwest room. Go down the stairs to the north.
Submarine level (Northwest)
Defeat the Grunt in the northwest room, then climb the northeast stairs back to 2F.
2F (West side; North-central)
In the north-central room, step on the single warp panel to reach the northwest panel in the southeast room.
2F (West side; Southeast)
Pass by two more Grunts and take the warp panel in the southwest corner.
2F (West side; East-central)
Step on the single warp panel to reach the easternmost part of 2F.
2F (East side)
The previous warp panel leads to the north side of a small room with several more. Follow them in the correct order—left, center, right, right—to reach the interior room on 2F.
2F (West side; Central)
In Maxie's office, there are four items near the western wall. The two nearest items are actually Electrode, waiting to attack unsuspecting intruders. The item to the southwest is a Nugget, and the final item is a Master Ball! This improved kind of Poké Ball has a 100% success rate, so be sure to save it for a hard-to-catch Pokémon!
Backtrack through the warp-filled hallway to return to the southeast room on 2F. Step on the southeast warp panel to reach the northeast room. Take the stairs down to 1F.
Submarine level (Northeast)
Go east and step on the warp panel there to be transported a short distance to the south; collect the Nest Ball from this enclosed area before warping back. Head southwest past another patrolling Grunt and take the warp panel there to the southwest room. Go west to find one of the Magma Admins, Tabitha, standing at the water's edge. A large shadow can be seen under the surface. Defeat him to stop Maxie's escape!
|
The battle lasted just long enough for Maxie to escape in his powered-up submarine.

He asks that you bring him any Shards that you may find, and trades an Evolution stone in exchange for each one.
