Effect
Echoed Voice deals damage.
Its base power increases by 40 each consecutive turn it is used, up to a maximum of 200. After reaching its maximum, using it consecutively simply maintains the increased power. However, the power will not increase during a round and will only increase once per round (regardless of how many Pokémon used it). Even if the move misses or fails to inflict damage (e.g. due to being protected against), the base power will still increase as long as the move is executed.
Echoed Voice is a sound-based move.

Echoed Voice deals damage. Its base power increases by 40 each consecutive turn it is used but reaches a maximum power at 200. However, the power will not increase during a round and will only increase once per round (regardless of how many Pokémon used it). The base power of Echoed Voice does not reset upon reaching its maximum. When failing, the base power will still increase as long as the move is executed, such as when it misses or is prevented by Protect. Pokémon with the Ability Soundproof are not affected by this move.
If used on a Pokémon behind a substitute, it hits that Pokémon's substitute.

Generation VI onwards
Generation VI onwards
Substitute no longer protects against this move.
Echoed Voice can now hit Pokémon even if they are behind a substitute.

Echoed Voice will become a Water move when used by a Pokémon with the Ability Liquid Voice. If the user is affected by Throat Chop, it will be unable to use this move for two turns.

Echoed Voice will have its power boosted by 30% when used by a Pokémon with the Ability Punk Rock. The damage dealt by Echoed Voice will also be halved when used against a Pokémon with Punk Rock. If the user is holding a Throat Spray, the item will be consumed and the user's Special Attack stat will raise by one stage.

An appealing move that can be used repeatedly without boring the audience.

Echoed Voice (Japanese: エコーボイス Echo Voice) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation V. It was TM49 from Generation V to Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

Generation V

If used on a Pokémon behind a substitute, it hits that Pokémon's substitute.

Generation VI onwards

Echoed Voice can now hit Pokémon even if they are behind a substitute.
