Swoobat (Japanese: ココロモリ Kokoromori) is a dual-type Psychic/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation V.
It evolves from Woobat when leveled up with high friendship.
Biology
Swoobat is a blue, bat-like Pokémon. It has fused, pointed ears with striated, lighter-colored insides and a pink, heart-shaped snout with a single nostril. Two wide, rounded teeth are visible in its lower jaw. A mane of shaggy, light blue fur surrounds its neck. Its black wings have a claw at the joint, and its small black feet have three toes each. It has a bare, pink tail that is twisted with two short prongs at the tip.
Swoobat's nose can produce many different ultrasonic waves. Its nose is also considered to be a symbol of good luck in certain regions. When Swoobat shakes its tail vigorously, it produces sound waves powerful enough to destroy concrete. A male Swoobat produces waves during courtship that uplifts anyone who hears it. However, emitting these powerful sound waves can leave Swoobat exhausted, rendering it unable to fly for a short period of time. In the Pokémon the Series: Black & White episode The Four Seasons of Sawsbuck!, Swoobat is shown to hang from its tail as it sleeps.
Evolution
Swoobat evolves from Woobat.

Trivia
- Swoobat's evolutionary line has several similarities with Crobat's. All of the members of both lines are based on bats and reach their respective final evolved form by friendship.
Origin
Swoobat appears to based on a New World leaf-nosed bat, though its fur makes it resemble in particular a Honduran white bat. Sunlight filters through the leaves these bats sleep on and make their white fur appear green during the day, which would mirror Swoobat's Shiny form.
It may be a literal interpretation of a heart-nosed bat. It also resembles a horseshoe bat. Swoobat's nose resembles a rubber stamp, befitting its signature move, Heart Stamp. Its prominent fangs may be inspired by vampire bats.
Name origin
Swoobat may be a combination of swoon or swoop and bat. Its English name containing the English name of its pre-evolved form (Woobat) mirrors how its Japanese name (Kokoromori) contains the Japanese name of its pre-evolved form (Koromori).
Kokoromori may be a combination of 心 kokoro (heart) and 蝙蝠 kōmori (bat).
