Seismic Toss (Japanese: ちきゅうなげ Earth Throw) is a damage-dealing Fighting move introduced in Generation I. It was TM19 in Generation I and TM15 in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!.

Effect
Effect
Seismic Toss does damage equal to the user's level. The damage is not altered by weakness or resistance, except when a Pokémon is immune.
Seismic Toss inflicts damage equal to the user's level.

In Generation I, Seismic Toss hits Ghost-type Pokémon, even though the type has immunity to any other Fighting-type move. In subsequent generations, the type mechanics were corrected so that Ghost-type Pokémon correctly became immune to Seismic Toss.
Generation I
Although Seismic Toss is a Fighting-type move, its type does not alter the amount of damage it inflicts. Seismic Toss is not affected by type immunities, so it can hit Ghost Pokémon.

In the anime
Generation II onwards
<gallery>
Seismic Toss is now affected by type immunities; therefore, it cannot usually affect Ghost-type Pokémon.

Seismic Toss can be used as the second move of a Pokémon Contest combination, with the user gaining 2 bonus appeal points if Fake Out was used in the previous turn. It can also form part of a Contest Spectacular combination, with the user gaining an extra three appeal points if any of the moves Entrainment, Hold Hands, or Play Nice was used in the prior turn.

In other games
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series
In the Rescue Team and Explorers games, Seismic Toss deals damage equal to the user's level.

By leveling up
From Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, the move is now a status move and does not deal damage. It will instead throw its target (teammate or enemy) at another Pokémon or trap. In dungeons, enemy Pokémon can use Seismic Toss on other enemies to throw them at the player.

Trivia
Trivia
* In the anime, while using Seismic Toss, Pokémon using the move are commonly depicted circling the globe, and, in the Generation II, Pokémon Battle Revolution, Generation VI,  VII, VIII, and IX games, a globe is shown as part of the animation. This is due to the Japanese name of the move being Earth Throw.
* In the first few seasons of the the Netherlands dub, Seismic Toss was called aardbeving, which is actually Dutch for Earthquake.
** Similarly, in the Pokémon BW: Rival Destinies season of Latin America dub, Seismic Toss was called Tiro Vital, which is actually the Spanish name for Vital Throw.

Seismic Toss (Japanese: ちきゅうなげ Earth Throw) is a damage-dealing Fighting-type move introduced in Generation I. It was TM19 in Generation I and TM15 in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!.

Effect

Seismic Toss inflicts damage equal to the user's level.

Generation I

Although Seismic Toss is a Fighting-type move, its type does not alter the amount of damage it inflicts. Seismic Toss is not affected by type immunities, so it can hit Ghost-type Pokémon.

Generation II onwards

Seismic Toss is now affected by type immunities; therefore, it cannot usually affect Ghost-type Pokémon.

Seismic Toss can be used as the second move of a Pokémon Contest combination, with the user gaining 2 bonus appeal points if Fake Out was used in the previous turn. It can also form part of a Contest Spectacular combination, with the user gaining an extra three appeal points if any of the moves Entrainment, Hold Hands, or Play Nice was used in the prior turn.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series

In the Rescue Team and Explorers games, Seismic Toss deals damage equal to the user's level.

From Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, the move is now a status move and does not deal damage. It will instead throw its target (teammate or enemy) at another Pokémon or trap. In dungeons, enemy Pokémon can use Seismic Toss on other enemies to throw them at the player.

Trivia

The globe in Battle Revolution's animation.
 • In the anime, while using Seismic Toss, Pokémon using the move are commonly depicted circling the globe, and, in the Generation II, Pokémon Battle Revolution, Generation VI, VII, VIII, and IX games, a globe is shown as part of the animation. This is due to the Japanese name of the move being Earth Throw.
 • In the first few seasons of the Dutch dub, Seismic Toss was called aardbeving, which is actually Dutch for Earthquake.
