Cheryl and "a little problem"
In the article it states that Cheryl's Chansey can cause a problem:

"However, during battles with wild Pokémon a little problem appears: the player can throw a Poké Ball only when there is one Pokémon left, and thus Chansey's Egg Bomb may accidentally knock out the Pokémon the player wants to catch."

Perhaps the little problem should be that Chansey's egg bomb move supposedly has 75% accuracy and 100 power, but in reality it seems to act like like it has 10% accuracy and 10 power. And Chansey takes up a battle slot that could be used for otherwise useful pokémon...

::To answer this specific question: Yes, in Diamond and Pearl, if Slakoth is swarming, Silcoon/Cascoon and Level 10 Wurmple do not appear. Level 11 Wurmple can still appear in the morning and day, but at night Wurmple will not appear at all during the swarm. In Platinum, this is completely different, where Budew and Buneary are replaced instead (normally just making them less common, but possibly making them unavailable if using the Poké Radar at night or using the dongle method with a game other than Sapphire, respectively).
::We do not currently note which Pokémon are replaced by Swarm/Radar/Dongle, despite them being well-known. We don't really have a good way of displaying them, so we just don't. On the Great Marsh page we do actually note the Pokémon replaced by the special Pokémon. --<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 11:50, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
