Biology
Biology
Physiology
Regice is a large, blue Pokémon composed of solid Antarctic ice. Its body is composed of angular crystal-like shapes and its face has an unusual pattern consisting of seven yellow dots in a "+" formation. It has four spikes on its back and its two legs are conical and it balances its entire body on their points. There are three fingers on each of its pentagonal arms.
Regice is an Ice Pokémon whose body is composed of Antarctic ice that resembles a crystal. Its face has an unusual pattern consisting of seven yellow dots in a "+" formation. Its legs appear to be simply cones and it balances its entire body on those two points. It seems to skate as it moves.

Gender differences
As depicted in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, Regice can move around by floating in the air. Regice cloaks itself in air that is −328 °F (−200 °C), and anything near Regice will become frozen. It can even survive when submerged in molten lava or other extremely hot temperatures. Regice is believed to have been created by Regigigas, and has slept in a glacier for thousands of years since an ice age. It was sealed away in List of Pokémon by habitat by people in the past.
Regice is a genderless species.
Special abilities
Regice cloaks itself in air that is -328 degrees Fahrenheit. It can survive if submerged in molten lava. Due to its extremely frigid body, anyone who approaches it can freeze. It is capable of surviving even extremely hot temperatures. Regice has the unexplainable ability to wield Electrical attacks like Zap Cannon.

It appeared again in DP129 where it was used to battle the rampaging Regigigas at Snowpoint Temple. Regigigas used Confuse Ray on Regirock, Regice and Registeel and all 4 Pokémon went on a rampage. All the rampaging Pokémon (except Regigigas) faded away, and when Pokémon Hunter J used her weapon to catch the immobilized Regigigas and Regirock, Regice and Registeel and eventually Pyramid King Brandon all jumped in front of J's firing range and were frozen. Regigigas eventually brought them back to life with Hidden Power.

Regice debuted near the end of the RSE saga, when Glacia was attempting to open the Island Cave. Together, Steven and Sapphire created a team of four Beldums and Sapphire's Relicanth and Wailord, thus opening up the chamber containing Regice. Regice used Superpower to stop Groudon and Kyogre from fighting. Brandon's legendary giants#Pokémon Adventures
Regice debuted in The Beginning of the End with Kyogre & Groudon XIV, when Glacia was attempting to open the Island Cave. Together, Steven and Sapphire created a team consisting of four Beldum and Sapphire's Sapphire (Adventures) and Sapphire (Adventures), thus opening up the chamber containing Regice, as well as the other two giants, Regirock and Registeel. Regice used Superpower to stop Groudon and Kyogre from spreading destruction. After the battle, it and the other two giants—left weak and powerless—traveled to the mountains, where they were later caught by Brandon shortly before the opening ceremony of the Battle Frontier.

Trivia
* Regice is one of only four pure Ice Pokémon, along with Snorunt, Glalie, and Glaceon, which makes it the only pure Ice-type legendary Pokémon.
* Regice has the highest base Special Defense stat of all Ice Pokémon.
* Regice has the second highest base Special Defense in the game, surpassed only by Shuckle.
* In the international versions of , there is an unobtainable Regice Doll programmed into the game. It was unlockable with the Japan-exclusive Regi-Dolls Decoration set e-Reader card.
* Registeel, Regirock, and Regice are the only Pokémon with the strongest move by base power, Explosion, as a starting move.
* Regice shares its category with Avalugg. They are both known as the Iceberg Pokémon.
* Regice's base Attack and Special Attack, as well as Defense and Special Defense, are reverse of Regirock's.

This Pokémon is based on the golems of Hebrew legend. The legends cast them as servants of higher powers and are said to have writing on their heads. When the writing is removed, the creature would be weakened.
Regice may be based on the golems of Hebrew legend. The legends cast them as servants of higher powers and are said to have writing on their heads. When the writing is removed, the creature would be weakened, or even killed in some legends. Regice's face that consists of seven dots may be based on Braille alphabet which was necessary to use to encounter the legendary giants for the first time in Sealed Chamber. The geometrical shapes that make Regice's body resemble naturally occurring crystals.

The five legendary giants may be collectively themed after historical epochs, with Regice representing the Pleistocene.

Regice (Japanese: レジアイス Regice) is an Ice-type Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation III.

It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.

It is a member of the legendary giants along with Regirock, Registeel, Regieleki, and Regidrago.

Biology

Regice is a large, blue Pokémon composed of solid Antarctic ice. Its body is composed of angular crystal-like shapes and its face has an unusual pattern consisting of seven yellow dots in a "+" formation. It has four spikes on its back and its two legs are conical and it balances its entire body on their points. There are three fingers on each of its pentagonal arms.

It was sealed away in ancient ruins by people in the past.

Main article: Brandon's Regice

Regice debuted in The Beginning of the End with Kyogre & Groudon XIV, when Glacia was attempting to open the Island Cave. Together, Steven and Sapphire created a team consisting of four Beldum and Sapphire's Relicanth and Wailord, thus opening up the chamber containing Regice, as well as the other two giants, Regirock and Registeel. Regice used Superpower to stop Groudon and Kyogre from spreading destruction. After the battle, it and the other two giants—left weak and powerless—traveled to the mountains, where they were later caught by Brandon shortly before the opening ceremony of the Battle Frontier.

Brandon used Regice in his battle with Emerald. It defeated Crystal's Cubone, which Emerald had borrowed to use in the Battle Pyramid. However, Regice was subsequently defeated by Emerald's Sceptile and its Iron Tail.

Trivia

 • Regice has the highest base Special Defense stat of all Ice-type Pokémon.
 • In the international versions of Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, there is an unobtainable Regice Doll programmed into the game. It was unlockable with the Japan-exclusive Regi-Dolls Decoration set e-Reader card.
 • Regice shares its category with Avalugg. They are both known as the Iceberg Pokémon.
 • Regice's base Attack and Special Attack, as well as Defense and Special Defense, are reverse of Regirock's.

Origin

Regice may be based on the golems of Hebrew legend. The legends cast them as servants of higher powers and are said to have writing on their heads. When the writing is removed, the creature would be weakened, or even killed in some legends. Regice's face that consists of seven dots may be based on Braille alphabet which was necessary to use to encounter the legendary giants for the first time in Sealed Chamber. The geometrical shapes that make Regice's body resemble naturally occurring crystals.

The five legendary giants may be collectively themed after historical epochs, with Regice representing the Ice Age.

Name origin

Regice may be a combination of regis (Latin for royal) and ice.
