| The character Tatsu was born in [[Snowpoint City]]. His [[mom|mother]] was a retired [[Pokémon Trainer|trainer]] and his father was a [[sailor]]. When he was six his father's boat crashed in a storm and the crew died. To help their mother, his sister moved back home from being a [[Pokémon Coordinator|coordinator]]. One night during a rare [[Snowpoint_City#Diamond_dust|diamond dust]] drift he came upon a [[Glaceon (Pokémon)|Glaceon]]. The two became [[Starter Pokémon|friends]] and stayed together ever since. Upon turning ten he decided to head out and become a pokémon trainer. He traveled throughout [[Sinnoh]] and participated in the [[Pokémon League (Sinnoh)|Sinnoh Pokémon League]]. Afterword he moved on to [[Johto]] to visit his cousin there and participate in the [[Silver Conference|Johto League]].
