It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.

Uxie is the first member of the lake guardians, the Sinnoh region's Psychic legendary Pokémon trio.
Along with Mesprit and Azelf, Uxie is a member of the lake guardians, a Legendary trio first discovered in the Sinnoh region. Uxie is known as the Being of Knowledge (Japanese: 知識の神 God of Knowledge).

Physiology
Uxie is a small, gray, fairy-like Pokémon with two gray tails that are each encrusted with a red gem. Uxie has a partially yellow face with another red gem encrusted into its forehead. Its head faintly resembles that of a helmet or a human brain.
Uxie is a small, gray, fairy-like Pokémon with two gray tails that are each encrusted with a red gem. These are, presumably, two of the jewels which make up the Red Chain. Uxie has a partially yellow face with another red gem encrusted into its forehead. Uxie's head faintly resembles that of a helmet or a brain.
Uxie always has its eyes closed, as it can wipe out the memory of those who see its eyes.

Uxie always has its eyes closed due to the fact that it can wipe out the memory of those who look in its eyes.
Gender differences
Uxie is genderless.

Special abilities
Uxie's spirit can leave it's body without dying. It's spirit can return to the body at will. It can wipe out the memory of those whose eyes come in contact with its eyes. In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2, it is shown that Uxie can also create an illusion. Uxie is also the most intelligent of all Pokémon, having created all knowledge in the Pokémon universe. It was also shown in DP151 that Uxie has the ability to teleport.

Behavior
Uxie is a very shy Pokémon but will attack with force if it or the other two members of the lake guardians are threatened.

Habitat
Uxie lives in Lake Acuity.

In the anime
A statue and silhouette of Uxie appeared in A Secret Sphere of Influence!.

Uxie's "soul" appeared to Brock, much in the same way those of Mesprit and Azelf appeared to Dawn and Ash, in Uncrushing Defeat!
Uxie is both feared and respected for its ability to erase the memories of evil people. Uxie's spirit can leave its body without dying, and return at will. It created all knowledge in the Pokémon universe. Notably, when Uxie first emerged, humans gained the knowledge needed to solve problems and improved their quality of life. In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, it is shown that Uxie can create an illusion. It was also shown in The Needs of the Three! and The Battle Finale of Legend! to teleport itself, as well as other Pokémon and humans. Though it is very shy, Uxie will attack with force if it or its friends are threatened. In the past, it has been referred to as the "Being of Knowledge" due to its role in giving humans the ability to adapt and learn as life goes on. Alongside the other lake guardians, Uxie is needed for the creation of a Red Chain. Either through gems extracted from its body or through its claw. Together they're also capable of destroying a Red Chain. They even have the power to calm down Dialga and Palkia should the deities be enraged, but not both at once. In Legends: Arceus, Uxie is shown to be capable of speaking the human language via telepathy.

Uxie appeared in its physical form in DP151, where it, along with Mesprit, came to Lake Valor after Azelf was captured. However, it was also captured by J and Team Galactic, but before it was captured, it used Future Sight with Mesprit, destroying her ship later on. It was then controlled by the team to help fulfill its goal. In DP152, after breaking from their control with the help of Brock's Croagunk and Ash's Gliscor, it helped in stopping Cyrus's plot to use Dialga and Palkia.
Uxie and the other lake guardians are the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move Mystical Power.

In the manga
Pokémon Adventures
Platinum is sent to guard Uxie from Team Galactic. She was chosen because, fittingly, she is very knowledgeable when compared to the Mesprit Diamond or the Azelf Pearl.

* Mystery Dungeon 2: Uxie is the guardian of the Time Gear at Fogbound Lake.
* Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness: Uxie is the guardian of the Time Gear at Fogbound Lake. Uxie is the first guardian the player and the partner encounter, creating a fake Groudon to attack those who visit the lake and wiping the memories of those who found the place in order to protect the Time Gear. However, Uxie allows Wigglytuff's Guild to leave with their memories intact when they promise not to reveal the secret. Grovyle later steals Uxie's Time Gear.

Major appearances
Lake guardians (anime)
In Uncrushing Defeat!, Uxie's "soul" appeared to Brock, much in the same way those of Lake guardians (anime) and Lake guardians (anime) appeared to Dawn and Ash, respectively.

Uxie physically debuted in The Needs of the Three!, where it, along with Mesprit, came to Lake Valor after Azelf was captured. However, it was also captured by J and Team Galactic, but before it was captured, it used Future Sight with Mesprit, destroying her ship later on. It was then controlled by the team to help fulfill its goal. In The Battle Finale of Legend!, after breaking from their control with the help of Brock's Croagunk and Ash's Gliscor, it helped in stopping Cyrus's plot to use Dialga and Palkia. It reappeared in Pokémon: The Arceus Chronicles, helping to stop a rampaging Heatran.

Other
In PK21, a Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit served Pikachu and his friends some apples.

Trivia
Trivia
* Despite being genderless in the main series games, Uxie is referred to as a male in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2.
* Uxie is tied with Mesprit and Azelf for the highest base friendship of all Legendary Pokémon.
* Azelf's Diamond and Pearl Pokédex entry mentions that Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf emerged from the same egg.
* In Generation IX, prior to the Version 2.0.1 update of Scarlet and Violet, Uxie was unable to learn moves via Move Reminder.
* Uxie is the first legendary Pokémon that Brock has some sort of connection with in the anime.
Origin
** Interestingly, both Uxie and Brock eyes naturally appear closed.
Uxie seems to be based on a pixie or a fairy and the color yellow. The lake guardians could possibly have originated from the Imperial Regalia of Japan, which are also called the Three Sacred Treasures. Uxie would be the Yata no Kagami, which embodies wisdom and honesty. Additionally, it may draw inspiration from Cherub—one of the three highest ranking Angels in Christianity—characterized by knowledge.
* Uxie is the mascot of Poképédia. Poképédia's logo shows it with its eyes open.

Origin
Uxie is based after a pixie or a fairy and the color yellow. Uxie and the rest of the trio could possibly have originated from the Imperial Regalia of Japan, which are also called the Three Sacred Treasures. Uxie would be the Yata no Kagami, which embodies wisdom and honesty.
Name origin
Name origin
Uxie's name may be a combination of 行く先 yukusaki, future, 知識 chishiki, knowledge, and pixie. It could also come from you and pixie.
Uxie and Yuxie may be a combination of U of the acronym UMA (Unidentified Mysterious Animal, wasei-eigo for cryptid) and pixie. It may also involve the pronoun you.

Uxie (Japanese: ユクシー Yuxie) is a Psychic-type Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation IV.

It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.

Along with Mesprit and Azelf, Uxie is a member of the lake guardians, a Legendary trio first discovered in the Sinnoh region. Uxie is known as the Being of Knowledge (Japanese: 知識(ちしき)(かみ) God of Knowledge).

Biology

Uxie is a small, gray, fairy-like Pokémon with two gray tails that are each encrusted with a red gem. Uxie has a partially yellow face with another red gem encrusted into its forehead. Its head faintly resembles that of a helmet or a human brain. Uxie always has its eyes closed, as it can wipe out the memory of those who see its eyes.

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Uxie is shown to be capable of speaking the human language via telepathy.

Uxie and the other lake guardians are the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move Mystical Power.

Uxie in the anime

Major appearances

Uxie (anime)

In Uncrushing Defeat!, Uxie's "soul" appeared to Brock, much in the same way those of Mesprit and Azelf appeared to Dawn and Ash, respectively.

Minor appearances

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky - Beyond Time & Darkness, a Uxie, along with the other members of its trio, were the protectors of the Time Gear.

A Uxie appeared in Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel.

Commander Jupiter led the operation to capture Uxie, and overcame resistance from Maylene, Candice and Platinum in order to do so. Uxie connected with Platinum the most, as Platinum had great wisdom; she had also been to Lake Acuity before and saw Uxie, though she did not remember the event. It first appeared in Tackling Tangrowth.

Along with Mesprit and Azelf, Uxie was captured by Team Galactic to create the Red Chain so that they can control the Legendary Dialga. It was eventually freed and helped stop Dialga by breaking the Red Chain. It first appeared in A Novel Test!!.

Trophy information

A Knowledge Pokémon. It's said that Uxie's emergence gave humans the wisdom to improve their lives. This Pokémon possesses the ability to erase the memory of those who see its eyes. Uxie uses status-altering moves in battle--its frequent use of Yawn is very effective in putting foes to sleep. Uxie makes its home in Lake Acuity in the Sinnoh region.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Uxie appears as a Spirit alongside Mesprit and Azelf.

Trivia

Origin

Uxie seems to be based on a pixie or a fairy and the color yellow. The lake guardians could possibly have originated from the Imperial Regalia of Japan, which are also called the Three Sacred Treasures. Uxie would be the Yata no Kagami, which embodies wisdom and honesty. Additionally, it may draw inspiration from Cherubim—one of the three highest ranking angel classes in Christianity—characterized by knowledge.

Name origin

Uxie and Yuxie may be a combination of U of the acronym UMA (Unidentified Mysterious Animal, wasei-eigo for cryptid) and pixie. It may also involve the pronoun you.
