Thank you, and have a good time editing here! — THE TROM — 01:33, 16 March 2009 (UTC) |
Feebas and Magikarp
Replied on my talk page; any further discussion will be posted there. If you choose to post more there, I assume you will check it for my response and will not issue further notification. Thanks. — THE TROM — 02:08, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
I'm still getting used to signing and other necessities to Wiki contribution, so I apologize if I don't always remember/know things.
Secondly, I'll have to keep that in mind for future reference, as far as Pokemon-to-Pokemon comparisons. I did feel it needed to be brought up because there is not a single reference to its similarities to Magikarp in the entire article, save they have the same species type and level-up moves. Talk Page Comments
Please don't erase talk page comments for no reason. Trust me, you do NOT want to end up like Big Johnno, who got into an edit war with a sysop over comments the former had erased and was trying to keep erased. That user ended up blocked and subsequently had every erased comment restored. --☆Coolピカチュウ! 03:45, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Well it's my talk page, and there wasn't even a discussion taking place. It didn't seem like a big deal to delete something that had no purpose, since it was basically a private message stating to look somewhere else. Redstar 03:53, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
- Unrelated. You leave it there no matter what. Unless it is spam, and that isn't. ht14 03:49, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Well I'm just going to say that that's bullshit. Redstar 03:53, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Show me that particular rule that dictates private talk pages. Redstar 03:56, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
- This'll do for now. Dispute resolution. Also, talk to admins if you disagree. ht14 04:07, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Clearly I can use those rules to my benefit, since I view your comments as an attack on me. I have no idea why either of you are watching my personal talk page out of the thousands of contributors and articles on this site, nor do I feel these comments constitute as "the article itself", IE: my talk page. No, they are about the "subject of the article", IE: the comments posted on my talk page.
Because of your help in notifying me of the rules that show why I'm free to clean my talk page of this unnecessary clutter I'll be sure to delete them in due time, without further complaints. Redstar 04:19, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
- On a side note, I believe I'll leave my Talk page as is, since this was really quite fun and I wouldn't mind other people seeing me act like a douchebag. Thanks for playing it cool, both of you. :D Redstar 04:26, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Parsers...
It's not size...use px for the images. Otherwise, it will be too large. ht14 04:27, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
- What are you talking about? Redstar 04:36, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
FYI
Don't resign over the unsigned message. You'll put the wrong time in there. Just leave it be; forgetting is no major deal unless you do it every time. — THE TROM — 05:01, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
- Dude. Mind your own business. One little profile on one giant Wiki out of hundreds of equally large Wikis is no concern of yours, thanks. Redstar 08:43, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
- TROM is an admin, as am I, so it actually is his concern. Now, he's telling you this because you're not supposed to replace
{{unsigned}}
with your signature, and it would be best if you listen to his message instead of blowing it off. The time-stamp is important, so just don't replace it with your signature if you had forgotten to sign when you made the comment. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 09:10, 15 May 2009 (UTC)- I'm not ignorant. I know perfectly well that TROM is an admin, and I'm choosing to disregard him. Being an administrator is no excuse to micromanage. Redstar 09:17, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
- Disregarding warnings from an administrator is a great way to earn yourself blocks. I would suggest you reconsider your choice. - Kogoro | Talk to me - 09:21, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not disregarding warnings from an admin, I'm threatening to disregard warnings from an admin in the future. Feel free to block me in case I do so, but for now a threat is just words. Get over it. Redstar 09:27, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
- Don't worry, I'm over it. See you in a day. Take this time to have a chill pill, come back and be a constructive part of the community. — THE TROM — 09:34, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

The Humans article
If you want to make it, go for it--even if it starts as a stub, people will add to it. And it'll be good! And interesting. -- evkl (need to talk?) 01:58, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Since you asked
I like to answer. The amount of "On the forums" people keep saying is getting really annoying to me. I think that Mewtwo rumor was just a rumor, and was later proven false. However, if I'm wrong, we will know soon enough when the games come out. MaverickNate 01:16, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Edit warring
Never, ever, ever, revert a revert. That's edit-warring. Even if you're right. The appropriate thing to do is turn to an admin for a ruling. --electAbuzzzz 14:09, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
- So, being an admin, what's your ruling? There are fansprites of the Nido's (at the least) here, here and here, so there are fakes. --Oz (The Wizard at Work!) 14:14, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
- I'm in Oz's favor on this one. Other than Pikablu, they're all fake Pokémon. And both of you can consider this "strike one" on the subject of edit-warring. --electAbuzzzz 14:20, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, I'm willing to live with that strike. This site's bigger than me, of course. :) Also, that's two thus far, Redstar(hey, that rhymes! Maybe I should be a poet.). --Oz (The Wizard at Work!) 14:22, 14 January 2010 (UTC)
redirecting
Unless the article is to be deleted, you don't need to relink these articles. It's okay to have redirects, as there is nothing wrong with them. Turtwig A (talk | contribs) 21:33, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
PokeGods
dont touch the page any more. if you do, i will count it as edit warring, and you will be blocked. im tired of you removing this stuff simply saying "they didnt exist" because, duh, they didnt! thats what the article is about! but, Bellossom and Ampharos were originally considered PokeGods. i cant take you back to 1997/8, but if you were into the fandom at the time, you would know. -- MAGNEDETH 17:06, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- I was into the fandom at the time, and I can tell you that neither Ampharos nor Bellossom were rumored as PokéGods. Not only that, but you remove the additions I made of other PokeGods. What's the point of having a list if you don't list the most popular ones? The page already lists several minor ones, so I just added several of the more popular ones. Redstar 17:10, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- the ones you listed ive never heard of. the ones Umeko listed i have. ill discuss the ones you added with some other people, but do NOT remove Amph or Bell. also, i left a message here, dont go to my page to respond. its very annoying to spread a conversation over two pages. -- MAGNEDETH 17:13, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- Everyone responds on each other's page in that means. You should just get over it.
- Neither Ampharos nor Bellossom were every rumored. Neither received methods for obtaining them in Red, Blue, or Yellow. They are not PokéGods. If you can find evidence to the contrary, provide a source. All you have to do is type into Google "Ampharos pokegod" or "Bellossom pokegod". We are here to provide facts, not unsourced faulty memory. Redstar 17:21, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- i dont have to "get over" anything. you do. last i checked, keeping comments on one page was apart of our Talk page guideline, and im one of the crew that enforces these guidelines.
- also, i searched "Ampharos pokegod" in Google, and guess what, I GOT RESULTS! besides, you have no room to ask for sources when the last time we asked you for sources, you did not show any. -- MAGNEDETH 17:30, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- "Ampharos pokegod" turns up nothing, unless you mean two forums and a site updating near 2005; both examples of which are far outside the PokéGod phenomenon. So you're either lying or you didn't really look.
- I did provide sources. Before and after. Yoshi is a Pokémon. Redstar 17:37, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- i did look, i found plenty of sources. meanwhile, i searched all of your Pokegods and got nothing. im not arguing with you about this anymore because you dont know what youre talking about. i dont want you to touch any page even related to fake Pokemon. case closed. -- MAGNEDETH 17:41, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- Well, you're lying. Here's a page showing a sprite for Feliflame. As for Ampharos: yeah, you're still lying. There are no results for it. Maybe if you knew how to search, you'd turn up something, but, no, "Ampharos" gets nothing. Redstar 17:52, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- Are you for real?? "Ampharos Pokegod" most definitely gets results in Google. I made sure to check before I restored it to the page, after you removed it. Don't tell us it doesn't get results when they're right in front of our faces. 梅子❄❅ 17:55, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- I am "for real". Would you be so kind as to provide any of those results? Because there are none. Redstar 17:57, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- that page you linked clearly states everything on it is made-up as "fakemon" and furthermore, its a bunch of horrid fake sprites. theres no proof there at all. and finally, if you cant find the results of "Ampharos pokegod" on Google, then you fail at Google, hard. -- MAGNEDETH 18:03, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
- The PokéGods page itself says that people were often misled by sprites that weren't intended to mislead. Regardless if they were originally stated to be fake or not (which the original site did not, as this is merely an archival site), many people still believed that some of them were real.

- You can keep claiming that it's my fault, but if you can't provide sources, then it shouldn't be on the page. Provide at least one rather than blame me. Redstar 18:08, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
(resetting indent)You didn't provide sources when we asked you to before, but I guess two wrongs don't make a right, and since I'm home from work now, I'll treat you to a list of PokeGod pages referencing Ampharos (or Denryu).
- Last one on this page.
- Do a ctrl+F for "Denryu," unless you actually want to kill your eyes reading this site.
- Included on the list here.
There's more, but you asked only for one, so this should already be more than enough. But here's a little bonus, on that site you linked before... ohay, now what is that last one on the page here?? 梅子❄❅
- Smart girl. You actually thought to search for its Japanese name. However, I'll point out why none of these sites are valid examples.
- Yes, "Denryu" is mentioned, but Denryu itself was never rumored in the form of a code. You'll note that Denryu is mentioned on many sites, the majority of which were actually documenting the release of Gold and Silver. Just because some people stuck to old habits and used the term "PokéGod" doesn't mean that's what they necessarily meant.
- One of the latter-day lists which includes several Pokemon (note, Pokémon, not PokéGods) created by the Pokemon Factory. (See number 4)
- A site last updated near 2005, over five years after the PokéGod phenomenon. Latter-day references don't count.
- The Pokémon Factory specialized in making fake Pokémon, not PokéGods. They never intended to fool anyone, and in fact made it a part of their mission statement then and now that they were for fun or gags.
As you can see, none of those sites are valid references. You're welcome to provide more if you like, but you obviously don't understand the mentality or zeitgeist of the time to properly speak for it. Redstar 04:02, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
- You referenced Pokemon Factory for Feliflame. Please explain explain to my why your hypocrisy is valid. 梅子❄❅ 04:09, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
- It's not hypocrisy. It's a test. And MAGNEDETH failed. So did you. Redstar 04:11, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
- how the hell did i fail? Ume has all the details right there, you just said two different things, opposite of each other! (granted, this isnt the first time). -- MAGNEDETH 04:17, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
- I never said anything hypocritical or opposite of myself. Umeko has provided no details, at least nothing of valid reference. And you failed by showing your prejudice. Redstar 04:20, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
- at 16:27 UTC yesterday, you added Feliflame to the PokeGods page.
- at 17:52 UTC yesterday, you referenced Pokemon Factory for Feliflame using it as proof that it is a PokeGod.
- at 04:02 UTC today you said AND I QUOTE:
- "The Pokémon Factory specialized in making fake Pokémon, not PokéGods. They never intended to fool anyone, and in fact made it a part of their mission statement then and now that they were for fun or gags."
- so, i want to know right now, if that isnt hypocrisy, what is it? because it really really looks like hypocrisy. -- MAGNEDETH 04:31, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
- First of all, I'd like to know why any of you are bothering with this? Do you love your sysop-positions so much that you have to micro-manage and argue? This whole discussion, let alone me, is not a big deal.
- I never said anything hypocritical or opposite of myself. Umeko has provided no details, at least nothing of valid reference. And you failed by showing your prejudice. Redstar 04:20, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

- Second of all, if you were paying attention you would have read where I said that that was a test. Redstar 04:34, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
- it was only a test? OOOHHHH! HAHAHAHA!! i see, this is all a hilarious misunderstanding. well, now that youve tested me, id like to test you. im going to give you a block, to make sure my "sysop-position" is still intact. you see, i wasted so much time arguing with you, i forgot what i was doing. i have a bad memory and i like it when people help me out with remembering things. so im going to give you a month, (or maybe more, hmm, well if my powers have been lost in the commotion it wont make a difference) and if they DO still work, id like you to come back and tell me. if so, then we can put it all behind us, and get back to work, like a big happy community again, ok? great. -- MAGNEDETH 04:39, 20 January 2010 (UTC)
