Correct me if I am wrong, but James and his second Victreebell are should also be mentioned in the Trivia "Pidgeot is one of two Pokémon owned by a main character that evolved before being released in the same episode. The other Pokémon to do so was Togetic. Coincidentally, both are dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon."Portuguese Old Man 15:27, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Why?

Fly

Ok first off I know that my assumtion may be wrong but I think that we could say it used fly seeing as how it actually carried ash in the air. Since staraptor and noctowl havent done that, it seems logical that it was fly. The only other was charizard, but this is pidgeots page. So what do you guys think? I think your logic is right. You can use the move fly as a trasportation in both the games and television. - Vhayes1992 21:49, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Actually, pokémon have been seen using attacks without a trainer's actual command, but I can see your side as well. This is really a grey area and no one can say for sure wether Pidgeot knows fly without Ash realizing it or just an error of some sorts. - Vhayes1992 01:53, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

Trivia

Regarding the claim "Pidgeot is one of only two Pokémon owned by Ash that has not at one point evolved in the presence or due to the presence of Team Rocket, the other being Kingler," what about Ash's Muk? Weixifan 16:07, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
