Flatter (Japanese: おだてる Flatter) is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation III. It can be seen as a dark type version of Swagger.
Effect
Flatter raises the target's Special Attack by one stage and then confuses it. Pokémon with the ability Own Tempo are immune to the side effect.
