Normalize (Japanese: ノーマルスキン Normal Skin) is an Ability introduced in Generation IV. Only two Pokémon have this Ability, both in the same evolutionary line.
Effect
In battle
Normalize makes all moves used by the Pokémon with this Ability act as the Template:Type2 instead of their ordinary typing.
Outside of battle
Normalize doesn't have any effect outside of battle.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness, as well as previously mentioned effects, Normalize turns the standard attack into a Normal-type move. It will also turn Toss items into Normal-type attacks, will gain STAB, and will apply resistances and immunities. This doesn't apply to fixed damage items (e.g. Gravelerock, Unown Stones, Geo Pebble etc.)
