Release information

This card was released as a promotional card. In Japan, it was given out in a Toyota auto campaign in October 1997. This card along with the Toyota print of Pikachu came sealed in a folder; both were printed on regular card stock. It was later reprinted as one of a selection of cards included in the Pokémon Song Best Collection CD, released on January 1, 1999. The English version of the card was released through Pokémon card leagues in March 2000.

Trivia

  • Interestingly, both the Japanese Toyota Auto print and the CD reprint were printed exactly the same on the same card stock. Therefore the two are indistinguishable and the value of the Toyota print plummeted as consequence.

Origin
