if a diamond player is fighting a platinum player and one uses hypnosis, what's the accuracy? Kanjo 21:50, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

It would be 70%. LightningKimba 02:22, 7 October 2009 (UTC)

Zelrio I would like to know this as well
Wow. I was just about to ask that. So I suppose if you want to use a Poke that relies on Hypnosis in a battle, Diamond and Pearl are the best games to get connected with. SharKing Productions 20:34, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

Snore War from Pokémon Stadium

Would it be okay to put in the trivia section that Hypnosis was the basis for Snore War in the english version of Pokémon Stadium? The same could apply for Splash, Dig, and Harden in Magikarp Splash, Dig! Dig! Dig!, and Rock Harden. This would also apply for Cut, Barrier, and Rollout in Pokémon Stadium 2's mini-games, specifically Clear Cut Challenge, Barrier Ball, and Rampage Rollout. --Landfish7 23:16, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

In the games

On the note of 3D gaming, I'm wondering if we could try to produce an "In the games" section that could show pictures of how moves look like in each main series game and each 3D game that the respective move appears in and a description of the animation of the move, since we obviously can't get animated images of every appearence of every move in every game that they appear in. Have any thoughts? --Landfish7 23:16, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Affects Dark Types? (Gen IV)

I have reason (detailed in a moment) to believe that Hypnosis affects dark types, at least in Gen IV, but I do not see any mention of this on the page.

Here is my reason: I am playing Pokémon Diamond, trying to catch Spiritomb (which knows Hypnosis when you meet it) with Weavile (which is dark/ice type). Even though Hypnosis is a Psychic type move, it puts Weavile to sleep. I am pretty sure that this isn't a fluke, because I have been reloading a lot, trying to get a Spiritomb with a good nature/IV set.

It would also be good if someone else could test this in Diamond/Pearl, as well as other games/generations, to determine in what games/generations Hypnosis affects Dark types. Any new info would be appreciated. Bookwyrm1357 (contact) 20:32, 23 November 2015 (UTC)
